It's a city so not always pretty though the old town is well worth a visit to see some nice architecture and find out more about the history. The city itself is mostly flat so easy to explore on foot. Lots of good shopping, including the usual array of designer label shops, and lots of great cafes. Eating and drinking out are very reasonable compared to London and the England in general. I never felt ripped off. The Las Canteras Playa has a very long sea front which is packed with restaurants, bars and cafes. it is always lively and great for stretching your legs. Weather in early October was mid twenties, warm dry sometimes sunny, sometimes overcast but always nice and warm.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It's perfect for city tourism—it's pleasant and interesting to stroll around, and the architecture is beautiful. There are plenty of good restaurants with excellent food; we didn't have time to visit everything we wanted in a week. The downside is the many ups and downs, which can be a problem for those with limited mobility. I definitely recommend spending one day visiting Loro Parque.Guest review byKatrin OstBelarus - 8.0

Great area with plenty going on while also having quieter spots. Plenty of places to eat drink and shop in. Several beautiful beaches and walks along the coast to either Los Cristianos or in the other direction to Adeje. Our 3rd time there and we noticed and were aware of a bit more crime going on in the area and felt we had to be just a bit more vigilant this time, wouldn't stop us going back though. Very very very easy to get your hands on any type of drugs, wouldn't have to go looking as you get asked by people while out walking, day or night!!! Wasn't as obvious the previous times we were there.Guest review byPaulaIreland - 10.0

We had great weather which always makes a holiday, Beach was clean and the sea was great. Huge selection of bars and restaurants all of which offer very good value for money. Puerto del Carmen hits the spot for a good value for money holidayGuest review byPatrickIreland - 10.0

The location of the apartment was perfect. Seconds to the beach. Close to shops, restaurants and public transport. Only thing is the steep road to the apartment but it wasn’t too long. Which wasn’t too bad.Guest review byChui FanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We have travelled Fuerteventura a good few times but we have always stayed in Corralejo, the beaches are fab with lots of activities going on, the people are lovely and very friendly. There is an abundance of different types of restaurants, there is one called Sanus which caters for people who are coeliacs (Gluten free), you would need to book a table in advance as it gets very busy. There are lots of shops and pubs with live music in some of the pubs. If you happen to be there when the sales are on, they are very good value. You can get around Corralejo by walking, cycling or taxi if you want to venture inland. You can also visit Lanzarote for a day trip of Lobos Island, both are amazing. You can also travel to the north west of the Island where you’ll see some fabulous surfing!Guest review byLindaIreland - 6.0

Santa Cruz de Tenerife doesn’t have much of nightlife, almost everything was closed at 21:30-22:00 and there were no people outside either we were on the center of the town or near the plaza. BUT, The island in general is worth it. If you can get outside and go see other towns - villages, it is definitely worth it and be prepared for breathtaking sights, views and amazing monuments. There are a lot sightseeings worth visiting, but Santa Cruz de Tenerife on its own is just not worth it that much (and the parking there is literally impossible)Guest review bykostastsoukkGreece - 10.0

We loved to be 10 minutes drive away from the very touristic area of Maspalomas and instead enjoy the view of maspalomas dune from the mountains. We enjoyed the drive to Pico de Nieves. The mountains are wonderful. Canyons and then pine trees. The view from Pico de Nieves and through the journey there is incredible. The dunes deserve a visit as well as puerto de mogan. But the mountains are a paradise.Guest review byNadiaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A pleasant area with good views and a lovely walk along the promenade We did a full day trip to the mountains in the centre of the island and up to the north coast. There were several good places to eat. Our favourite was Charly's just round the corner with good food and very good entertainment. It is pretty flat around the resort. The main walking areas are on the flat.Guest review byLinda VoceUnited Kingdom
