- From US$289.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 3,384 reviewsI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Parador de Cádiz and was thoroughly impressed. My room appeared to be newly renovated, featuring a unique layout that seamlessly integrated the bed, wardrobe, and bathroom. From the comfort of my bed, I enjoyed stunning views of the sea and the adjacent Genovés Park. The young woman at the reception was exceptionally friendly and attentive, providing me with several recommendations for places to visit in the old town, which is conveniently just a 5-minute walk away. Additionally, the hotel is a mere 150 meters from the renowned La Caleta Beach, making it an ideal location for beach enthusiasts. The breakfast buffet was impressive, offering a wide variety of options. However, the only drawback was the use of coffee machines that require plastic capsules. It would be great if the hotel could consider switching to bean-to-cup coffee machines to reduce plastic waste. Overall, I highly recommend the Parador de Cádiz for its modern amenities and prime location.Guest review byMireilleLuxembourg
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 127 reviewsWe were probably very lucky that our pre-booked mobile house in different camping of this area got cancelled (maybe due to the storm it had passed 2 nights before we arrived, maybe due to the off-season laziness). We had arranged a ground floor apartement in this camping quickly instead. It shown up as a great descision. Everything went smooth, the place was clean, just our size for 2 with 2 kids. The restaurant was closed that night and next morning, but we arrived with some food which we just prepared in the kitchen easily. We didn’t expected more, even there were some shops opened around anyway. It might be little tricky with hot water for those who are not fully friendly with gas bottles, i didn’t find it as a problem but I’m sure the personnel would had been helpful.Guest review byPavelCzech Republic
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 6,567 reviewsPerfect location for us with good view to Cadiz over the sea and the sandy shore. Close to ocean (in fact the first building from sea). Very clean, convenient with a great variety of services you cannot even imagine. As in pre season it was very good to make excursions in the area towards Gibraltar and over the hills meanwhile at the end of day you could rest on the shore or by the pool. Very nice pool area. Breakfast and dinner exceeded all our expectations. Delicious and a very wide range of varieties. Parking easy and perfect.Guest review byLászlóHungary

Great walks on the sand. Not crowded and although I didnt go in the sea was crystal clear. Breakfast was really good {bacon could have been cooked so crispy but that was sorted} Tarifa was nice to walk around the whole weekend was great and would have no problem recommending the area and the hotelGuest review byanthonyUnited Kingdom
- From US$110.93 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,989 reviewsWe liked the sound of the waves from the room, the view over the ocean, the quiet neighbours, the fact that there were few people on the beach midweek, and we liked the cleaning staff very much. We liked that we could have our own things in the minibar, and we liked the location--that we could walk into town. We liked very much that it was primarily a Spanish area.Guest review byOddvarNorway

I visited Jerez for one day over 20 years ago so having longer to explore this time was great. Given it was October I imagine it's quieter than usual but that suited our group. Saw some fantastic authentic Flamengo at Tabanca a la Feria - !8 euros for drinks, tapas and shows - and had a fab time at the gay bar Pandora. Everyone was so welcoming and walking back to the hotel at 4am felt perfectly safe - not like London! I'd definitely return and recommend the city for a long weekend visit. My only concern was lack of cabs - we had a long journey from the UK - but that was only an issue when we arrived at the stationGuest review byMiguel ÁngelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We've been to Tarifa many times and now have a circle of friends there that seems to grow with each visit. Although a kitesurf attraction and to some extent a party town it is also a proper town with facilities for the residents. A proper taste of Spain.Guest review byHoward - 10.0

It was a tired and old town with many dilapidated buildings many of the bars and cafes did not open untill lunchtime making it difficult to get a coffee. The ferry to Cadiz was very cheap and Cadiz was well worth the visitGuest review byAnonymousSpain - 10.0

It is a great place for a relaxing vacation! A nice beach (8km coast) where you can swim, relax or have a nice walk! There is also a street workout area next to the beach if you feel like working on your pullups and muscle ups! I also visited a park where I could watch flamingoes and other birds. I will go back to Chiclana one day! It was wonderful!Guest review byAnnaRussia - 8.0

The area along the Odiel River is nice to walk and has restaurants and places to sit and enjoy the view. The city would be great by bicycle. The Mercado is the place to go for fish, meat and fresh produce. Restaurants were a bit of a hit and miss during our trip, so we recommend doing some research (and don't trust the online pictures posted by the establishments). You definitely need some form of transport if you want to see a fair amount.Guest review byUtaPortugal - 8.0

Algeciras has some beautiful parts, in the old city the Moorish architecture is really quite something. There are some rougher parts sure, as with any large port town. But I found it safe, the people friendly and the food was great, especially El Taller restaurant. Nearby beach Playa el Rinconcillo was fine. But Algeciras isn't like some beautiful Mediterranean coasted resort destination, it's a fairly gritty Spanish port with some beautiful architecture and passable beaches, cheap and cheerful with easy access to TARIFA where you can get a ferry to Tangiers and visit nearby roman ruins or visit very nearby Gibraltar.Guest review byScottUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Stunning town with a ridiculous amount of excellent bars and restaurants serving top quality food at a fraction of the price you would pay in the UK. Very Spanish (obviously) and everyone super friendly and accommodating. Lots to see and do around and not far from Cádiz. You do need a car which you can park for free at the bottom of the town and then walk up - it is incredible hilly and steep so proper shoes recommended! Beautiful main plaza with fountain and tapas places and restaurants. Highly recommend.Guest review bySallyUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The old town is beautifull with plenty of local people and spaniards from diffrent reagions of Spain. Not too many tourist is good news. There are delicious and trendy restaurants and tapas bars. Medina Sidonia palace is marvelous and the Church of Notre Dane of Ó, a pearl of architecture from spain, has a sweet lady guide (and very well informed).Guest review byAntonioPortugal
