The ladies clean my room were very friendly and so nice too. The swimming pool very nice with a great chair and view to the sea. The stuffs of the hotel work very hard and so professional and so friendly the check in was quickly and efficient the reception lady and guys were very nice and sweet with me and my son. The stuffs from the restaurant were very hard workers and so friendly at the same time, big thank you for all of you from the restaurant to make this trip with my son more amazing with your excellent service, special Roberto that was very nice to me and my son. The food was very nice with so much options, one of the best all-inclusive I never see before, well done. The manager of the hotel helped me a big time when I lost my key. He provided at the same day a new key of my room, and they also changed the door locker for my own security. The view was incredible, the apartment was spacious and clean (cleaned every day). There were a lot of activities possible in and around the hotel. We did a hike, spent time on the beach, played mini golf, wandered the area, used the indoor pool and wellness, etc. Breakfast was included and it was a wonderful buffet with a wide variety of choices, anything you can think of for breakfast. From reading previous comments I was slightly worried about extra costs, but the only extra costs we paid for was the dinner (which was also buffet and wonderful; 40 euros per person, drinks not included), a lunch (25 euros for a starter) and minigolf (2 euros per person). The parking was free, although it was mentioned this was specifically for the first 2 weeks of opening, the wellness, indoor pool, gym, beach, funicular use etc were all free. As we were there shortly after opening, the hotel was very calm and the staff was very available and attentive. Their efforts to make our stay special was greatly appreciated. The hotel is good for a couple but also kids and dog friendly. Overall, we truly loved our stay and were amazed at the location as well as the facilities and value for money. It's a lovely resort beach is great. Beach beds expensive 8 euro each for bed and brollies regardless of time you arrive on beach, so for two of us it cost 24€ a day. The boat around to Tossa de Mar is a good trip. We wanted to do a day in Bracelona but didnt realise you have to book the public bus at the bus station 2 days before so we were very disappointed as we left this till our last day. We went to visit the local cathedral but its not open to the public which was a let down. There are lovely bars and restaurants to choose from - prices for food and drink around same price as UK. Beautiful seaside town very clean. Lovely little shops & restaurants. You can enjoy a stroll along the sea front or take a boat trip along the coast to neighbouring villages or the mini train around the national park. There is a lot of history in the area you can visit the museum at the citadel and the neighbouring town of Castello de Emporium. If you like Salvador Dali you can visit his home in the qaint Village of Carques & the museum at Figueres. All very pretty towns. Everyone I met was enjoying themselves. A beautiful city, with medieval historic center, museums and great restaurants, beautiful views of the river and apartments reflected on the water, the stone bridge and others, nice and friendly staff at the Tourism Office. Would return to Girona more than Barcelona. Easy transportation to Palafrugell and the hop on hop off bus to Tamariu, Calella and Llafranch. We stayed in Calella just during the day but loved it. Nice city not overly loud. Great restaurants and beautiful beaches. The castle was fantastic and safe the statue of Ava Gardner to honor her visit and work on the film “Pandora and the and the Flying Dutchman. Great town so many nice people all very helpful. We had stayed in Lloret de Mar which was about 20 minutes south of Tossa de Mar. That city was much more crowded. It is a major tourist spot and the only problem was the noise all night long from the visitors. I being older and more into quiet spots, after the second day went to Tossa de Mar which is much less touristy. If you want to party Lloret is the place to go. There is a great range of restaurants and shops in Platja d'Aro which made it ideal for us now that we no longer want to spend a long time on a beach or swimming in the sea. The beach is not ideal for swimming because the sand is very soft and at our age it was difficult to keep our footing. I could have got into the sea and swum, despite the steepness of the sand. A beautiful, little town.
A beautiful, little town. The port is lovely and it's fun to walk around the little streets and discover hidden corners. The church is lovely with great views of the town and ocean. The time spent in Figueres which was 7 days was just right for this visit, we attended a family wedding at the end of the week which was a 3 day occasion. I think that 3-4 days is probably a good length of time to embrace Figueres. The Town is lovely with nice shops, bars and restaurants and the Salvador Dali museum is definitely worth a visit. We took a Taxi to the resort of Roses which was a lovely day, visiting the beach, restaurants and town. You can also get around easily on the buses and trains. The town is not very big or crowded, which suited us. However, it has enough stores and restaurants. It has a wide and uncrowded beach. A very big advantage for those traveling by car is the large number of free parking spaces. Parking lots are located from 100m to 300m from the beach. Neighboring towns fare worse in this respect. The advantage is access to the suburban railroad, which took us to Barcelona for a day's sightseeing. In the summer, two amusement parks were available in Blanes (one near the parking lot - large, the other closer to the port). We missed the e-bike rentals. We had to go to a neighboring town to rent them. We did not use the clubs, so we do not judge their quantity or quality. The city is absolutely beautiful – full of charm and character. The atmosphere is relaxed, and it's a pleasure to walk around and explore. One of the best parts was the beach – clean, spacious, and perfect for swimming or just relaxing by the sea. It's a great place for a peaceful vacation with plenty of natural beauty and local charm.
