A fantastic place which we have been looking forward to visiting for many years and it didn't disappoint. The Alhambra was just amazing and I would definitely recommend getting a guided tour which we did through the official Alhambra website. Our guide was brilliant. The Cathedral was amazing too and we were priviledged to be there on National day and enjoyed the parades. We saw a flamenco show in the caves - I'm not sure we picked the best show but it was the experience! We also did a 4x4 tour of the Sierra Nevada for sunset which was great and I'd recommend.Guest review bySusanUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Love the traditional feel of Almunecar.
Love the traditional feel of Almunecar. Lovely walks around the town and all along the coast in either direction. Lovely quiet beaches to the east side past the Mediterranean park. Good bus links to Granada, Malaga and Nerja.&Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Such a great little city that feels very safe and enjoyable for travellers. We loved the local feel of Motril, unlike other places along the coast that we visited. The locals were friendly and there was a great selection of restaurants and bars as well as a nice walk to the beach with good access for pedestrians. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a car as the streets are little but a scooter or moped would be ideal. You must try Pizzeria Vespa and Zarcillo Restaurant was such a special place to go for dinner too. We also loved a little late night walk around the cactus garden which is such a cute place. Motril, you were excellent!Guest review byPaigeCzech Republic - 10.0

It's a very relaxing town, you can drive up to the Alpujarra to visit the white towns, its got abundance of Spanish ham. You can go trekking and they have plenty of water. The Thermal baths are very nice.Guest review bySene - 10.0
Beautiful village area with cave hotels.
Beautiful village area with cave hotels. Not far from motor way and accessibility is not an issue. Essential things are available in nearby villages. A vehicle is required to move around to buy things.Guest review byDeepa HaridasIndia - 8.0

Capileira is a great end-of-the-road hamlet high in the mountains. it might get busy on sundays with local daytrippers. because it is such a fabulous destination for a walk and a meal. stay longer and its yours.Guest review byWouterUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A beautiful part of Spain.
A beautiful part of Spain. A great beach with a wide selection of restaurants, 'Bahia' helped us to host an special anniversary meal, the Il Treno ice-cream parlour right opposite the clean beach and the marvelous tapas bar nearby are worth a visit. The maintown, set back a way from the beachfront is the castle with it's incredible views, and the hillside houses in the steep narrow winding streets are amazing but exhausting to walk around. Fortunately there are several bars to stop for a drink on the way. The town has all the shops you might need and the beautiful town of Caleta is close enough to walk to: I would love to see the procession that is proudly displayed in the photographs throughout their town. We were delighted by the smiling local Spaniards who made us welcome and helped us wherever we went. Most spoke little or no English but with just a few Spanish words we managed just fine; communication is no big problem among friends. Viva EspanaGuest review byDeanUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The coffee was good.
The coffee was good. The staff were friendly but could not speak much English. I was expecting a buffet style breakfast but only toast with a topping was available. The hotel was clean but needed more air circulation as it felt stuffy. Would have been nice to be able to see out of the window as the roller shutters did not work. I would go back but only for a one night stay. Lots of local people go including lots of truckers, Many truckers use it as a truck stop. The evening meals were good but nothing fancy as you would expect from somewhere that truckers use.Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great little town with various places to eat and drink, some shops and friendly inhabitants. Also some public spaces like parks and a tram line to Granada. It is conveniently located for access to the freeways.Guest review bydonovanskiSpain - 10.0

Nice seaside town plenty of restaurants/bars either in town or on beach. Stoney beach but big and not too crowded when we went in June. Seemed a more upmarket resort than some of the other towns nearby.Guest review byJulieUnited Kingdom
