- From $73.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 458 reviewsEspinama is a beautiful little town. Hostal Remoña is a gem. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The small deck off our room was pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. We had the best dinner of our whole trip there. The meats and cheeses are locally sourced. We actually talked to two other couples the next day on the trail who recognized us from the restaurant. They were staying at other hotels, but came to Remoña for the excellent food. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality. They put out an incredible spread for breakfast. Yum! There is a great trail system with several routes that leads out from Espinama. I just wish we had booked more nights to take advantage of them. It's an easy 15 minutes drive to the Fuenta de Cable Car.Guest review byStacyUnited States

Definitely a holiday town with a good degree of history, including a Roman bridge over the river. We have stayed here before a couple of times on previous road trips so we knew we were on a good stopover.Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Potes is a great base to explore the Picos de Europa. Good restaurants include the Mexican Las Mañantas, or for steak and cured meets Asador Llorente. The two local supermarkets are well stocked but remember are closed on Sundays.Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Shops, cafes and restaurants and easy access to all the sights of the area. Easy drive to Poncebos (go early, limited parking) and a super walk to Bulnes and return via funicular. A nice drive out to Cangas de Onís. All very scenic.Guest review byAndyUnited Kingdom - 6.0

There really is very little to say about Boca de Huérgano itself...it’s a tiny sleepy place but it does provide easy access to the Picos de Europa and the road between Riaño and Potes is one of the best you’ll ever drive. Not for nervous drivers but otherwise superb.Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Ojedo is a 20 minute walk from Potes.
Ojedo is a 20 minute walk from Potes. Potes has everything you need, Supermarkets, bars, shops restaurants. It is a beautiful place, but even in October it is full of tourists. Ojedo on other hand is nice and quiet thus the perfect place to escape back to.Guest review byChristopherUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Absolutely stunning scenery, close to Potes for convenience if required but much more peaceful and unspoiled. Easy access to other routes and destinations in Picos de Europa, especially Fuente de. Although there was little English spoken we had no problems eating out in small local restaurants and even buying cheese from a tiny queseria high up away from the main roadsGuest review byElizabethUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If visiting Fuente De the cable car is a must (dependant on the weather). We took the cable car up then walked all the way back down, approx. 14km. The views from the top and on the walk down are superb. There is a Hotel with a cafe after about 4km to get drinks and food. The walk is not too strenuous as it's mainly down hill although the last section back to Fuente De through the forest is a bit up and down. Overall a great walk, 9 out of 10.Guest review byCliffordUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The area is very beautiful.
The area is very beautiful. I was surprised that few people outside of Asterius know the history and the sacredness of the area. Visits to the basilica and the sacred cave were emotionally moving. I would have loved to hike and spend more time above the lakes, in the mines, but I would have required winter camping gear.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Great little town with many restaurants and bars, mainly frequented by Spanish people and other tourists. Many families on holiday which made the place feel safe. I would consider staying there in the future as part of another tour.Guest review byIan Charles - 10.0
Absolutely great location to stay & explore on a motorbike.
Absolutely great location to stay & explore on a motorbike. Main thing to remember is to avoid the restaurants in the centre that are over priced with poor service & substandard food & are probably the downside of the entire region. There are an abundance of great cafes, bars & restaurant's all around the back streets & well worth exploring. This really is one picturesque town with allot to offer just take the time to find the gems & avoid the obvious tourist traps.Guest review bySnipsUnited Kingdom
