The location is amazing next to the big lake. And house facilities are great with all the pots and utensils and you have a fireplace inside . The kitchen and bedroom were nice and having a sauna was a plus. Great customer service and good communication in advance. Check in and check out was smooth. Also you have a nice and cozy barbeque place with an igloo shape place we did the barbecue in winter when temperatures were -20degree. 😄. We were 3 people The place we stayed can fit up to 6. Overall we were very happy with the place , service and everything. The location is close to the national park and other nice destinations.

We spent a few days at Koli Freetime and enjoyed every single moment. The location is so peaceful, the staff was very friendly. The cottage is perfect for a family of four. We also loved the small sauna cottage with access to the lake for ice bathing. The cross country track starts directly at the property. Temperatures were really low (-31 degrees Celsius in the morning) but the cottage was warm and cozy. Big thanks for providing providing country skis for our grandson free of charge.
We can absolutely recommend the place if you love the peacefulness of the Finnish nature.

The perfect option, who wants just a nice simple cottage for a couple (or small family). There are all necessary stuff, like dishes, cutlery etc. We really love the firepllace! The place is super quiet, the ski track is nearby. I would say, that I don't mind to stay there again. Thanks!

Koli National Park was formed by tens of thousands of years...
Koli National Park was formed by tens of thousands of years of erosion during the Ice Age, so the trails and hills are covered with large and small rocks. There are rich landscape changes during the journey. In autumn, the leaves are dyed red, yellow and orange. With a variety of colorful scenes, Koli National Park is a great place to enjoy autumn scenery. Climbing up the hills, you will see a 180-degree view of the lake unfolding in front of you, and you will be shocked by the magnificent scenery - and the trails are also very beautiful. The signs are very clear, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost if you’re walking alone.

There is a good shop and hotel in the middle of the village,...
There is a good shop and hotel in the middle of the village, plus also another hotel on the top of the hill "Koli". Neart he village also "Räsävaara" observation tower allowing good views to the forest landscape and lake. Also the new hotel in the Kolinkylä village is easy to see from observation tower. You need a car to get around.

It's a small but cute little place with excellent hiking...
It's a small but cute little place with excellent hiking options. Few other locations along with Koli are close by in case you wish to see more. Very easy to get to see the Akka-, Ukko- and Paha-Koli and enjoy the view to lake Pielinen. I recommend to drive also to the harbour and see lake Pielinen also from the shore.
