The house was absolutely gorgeous. It was newly renovated and very clean. Everything was spot on and had everything you need for a home stay. My family and I were travelling back to UK after a holiday break from French Riviera, and this little gem just outside Macon was a real treat. The owner was very friendly and explained everything in detail for our arrival and our departure process and all went smoothly.

A jewel of a place, hidden away but just minutes from the autoroutes. Excellent restaurant serving in the 11th/15th C courtyard, delightful breakfast on the terrace overlooking the ornamental pond. Extremely warm welcome from the lovely owners and Homère, the dignified castle dog.

Marie from reception is very friendly, welcoming and provided me with helpful information before and upon arrival. The site is next to the river which makes it extra special, very green and perfect for pets. All the facilities are as you can expect from a good campground.
For those travelling with a walker/ reduced mobility:
I traveled with my dog and my elderly parents, one with impaired mobility who uses a walker. We rented a chalet, after getting up 3 small steps the inside is cosy but accessible with the walker and the shower easy to get into. The toilet is separate and small and narrow, not accessible with a walker, but still fine for someone who can stand and take a few steps. I would book this accommodation again.

The room was small and basic but it was clean. The shower was hot and had excellent pressure. The room had reverse cycle air con which was very welcome because Mâcon was freezing when we were there. The staff were the highlight of our stay. They helped us so much with organising taxis despite us knowing very limited french. Breakfast was yummy, locally sourced and they even cooked waffles to order. I highly recommend Fasthotel Mâcon.

Beautiful, authentic Chateau, no too 'posh' but very real and special. The atmosphere was all around - in the room and the secret private Chapel attached to it, the towers, coridors, outside walls, the courtyard, garden, etc. The host Paul was very nice. Breakfast excellent,
There is a lake nearby where we took a swim, meadows, forests and trails for walks.

We spent 7 weeks in Europe this Autumn. This was the best place we stayed. It's romantic, excentric and relaxed. The food is exceptional, the rooms divine, and the owners are lovely. We have very happy memories of our night at the Chateau. We especially loved Henry who seemed to be very keen on our dog Luna.

The place is perfectly handled by Paul and his team. If you are lucky; Homere, the Basset Hound, will go and welcome you while you are parking your car. I have been in the Château in winter time and now in spring. It is a beautifull place to sleep and rest well, and to have a nice breakfast in the morning sitting at their terrace. It is a quiet place where you can find the peace you need when you have a stressful way of living. You really smell the good French culture and their quality of life. The restaurant follows high standards and you can have a nice dinner, they change the menu monthly so if you visit them from time to time, you will always enjoy something new. They have a good selection of local wines if you fancy too. A nice experience which I will repeat for sure.
