Good centre for touring WWII sites. Very interesting half day visiting US beaches and cemetery arranged through the Memorial Caen, also easy to get to Sword and the Commando Museum using public transport. Castle good to walk round. Other interesting old buildings. Good selection of restaurants.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The Cathedral is on pair with Notre dame. we spent several hours gazing at the windows and gargoyles. Bayeux is a quaint beautiful town. Great place to stay while exploring DDay beaches. We were sorry that we did not stay longer.Guest review byJamieUnited States - 8.0

Ouistreham is a ferry port - it is a small town, but a useful starting point for visiting attractions in the surrounding area. The Normandy landings beaches and sites that have associations with William the Conqueror are all easily reached from here. There are good fish restaurants in Ouistreham itself and in nearby coastal villages.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Close to the Normandy beaches, which was the reason for our visit to see the Standing with Giants silhouettes. Easy access to supermarket + as we had 2 dogs, there was an English speaking vet nearby to complete the formalities for return to UK.Guest review bySARAUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Looking online, Port-en-Bessin seemed a scenic little fishing port. Research showed lots of restaurants in close proximity of hotels. However visitors need to aware that almost the whole town closes on Sunday evenings and all of Monday making it difficult to find the ideal meal on those days. Also not impressed with restaurant quality - more like cafes -with little sophisticated dining opportunities - Moules and Burgers dominate most menus!Guest review byWallace - 8.0

En route to Dieppe and proximity to D Day sites, traditional Normandy seaside hotel and restaurant. Good location, service and ambiance. Friendly welcome. Rooms modernised but on the smaller size as you would expect from such a hotel. RecommendedGuest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 2.0

Could not walk between the twin beds as the gap was too small. Toilet was dirty. Only one tea bag and one capsule of milk and one sugar for a room booked for 2 people. One of the connecting doors to the neighbouring room was insecure. The restaurant is only open on 4 days of the week and not at weekends. Cannot believe this was a 3 star hotel. Should definitely lose that status. Worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Will never book a Kyriad again.Guest review byJENNIFERFrance - 10.0

Quite honestly, I was drawn to Saint Mere Eglise because it was the station point for a D-Day tour my dad and I had booked. I had no clue the charm and history of this little town! The food was great everywhere we went, the museum was incredible, the people were so, so kind, the list goes on! This is definitely a hidden gem of Normandy. We visited Utah Beach on our tour, and it was packed tight with tourists. After hearing other people's experiences in Normandy, I was so glad we stayed in such a quaint town. 11/10 -- exceeded our expectations.Guest review byHannah - 8.0
