- From $602.87 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 484 reviewsThe hotel is a wonderful conversion of the ancient convent. It is clear that mountains of money, but also tons of taste, were expended in achieving it. The result is sublime: like living in a beautiful château, except comfortable. As for the spa, it is superb, the best we’ve seen (and we’ve seen a few). It would impress a Roman emperor (if there were more slaves). We didn’t benefit from the huge outdoor pool or the terraces, since we were there in winter, but they would be a delight in warm weather. Someone has done a terrific job in assembling and training a rather young staff of charming and intelligent people. From the parking attendants to the receptionists, and from the waiters and waitresses to the exceptional sommelière (Ms. Pauline), there wasn't a one that we wouldn’t happily adopt and take home with us. The buffet breakfast: simply the best (really). The hotel has its own full-time boulanger, as well as a pastry chef. Okay, full disclosure: the coffee could be better. There is (of course) a gourmet restaurant (we can all imagine what that’s like), as well as a “bistro" on the premises. (Fortunately, since the local village doesn’t offer much at all.) The bistro serves mainly fanciful haute cuisine; we would have preferred that it be more authentically bistro-like, with some classic bistro-type food (steaks, daubes, foie gras, magret, confit de canard…yes, maybe even french fries!). It goes to show: even paradise can stand to be tweaked a bit.Guest review byFrancisFrance
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 302 reviewsFrom the beginning to the end everything was perfect! Nicolas was very helpful since the pre-arrival till we checked out! He helped us with a lot of suggestions about what to do in the region. Everything went well. The lady who served us breakfast every day was also amazing and very friendly. Your room us cleans and made up by the time you are having breakfast. The pool/jacuzzi area is so incredible, very peaceful. Overall we had a great time and would surely recommend the place.Guest review byNadiimNetherlands

My husband and I had the most romantic and wonderful stay here during our honeymoon trip. The grounds of the hotel were incredible and so gorgeously maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was private, gorgeous, and so romantic. The beds were also profoundly comfortable. What a luxury! We wished our stay could have been longer but we can’t wait to one day return here.Guest review byStephanieUnited States

Nice is centrally located on the French Riviera.
Nice is centrally located on the French Riviera. The city offers alot of sights, beaches and restaurants while also providing easy access East and West to Monaco/Monte Carlo, Cannes, and St. Tropez by train or by car. Rent a small car and enjoy the coast. Parking is under the next door hotel/casino. 10-15 minutes from the airport. Beach Lounge chairs do fill up by early afternoon. I would recommend beach all morning and then sight seeing after lunch.Guest review byBrianUnited States - 10.0
Marseille is a busy city with plenty of excellent restaurant...
Marseille is a busy city with plenty of excellent restaurant especially in the Vieux Port area. This means that there's an incentive for them to provide good and reasonably priced food and drink. If you want top eat with a sea view, there's a premium for this - we did that during the day, but at night we went onto the back streets where there were many restaurants offering a three course menu for €26. We're a bit old for the night-life, but there's plenty about judging from the sound. Luckily our hotel had double le glazed windows so noise wasn't a problem.Guest review byGeoffUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Avignon is a lovely city with so much history to the town as well as close by towns. You can see most of the major sites in one day and can easily travel to other towns like Nimes and Arles. We enjoyed wandering the streets and looking into the cute shops and eating at the restaurants.Guest review byMary BethUnited States - 10.0
Aix-en-Provence is a delightful city.
Aix-en-Provence is a delightful city. It is the birthplace of the painter, Cézanne and there are museums devoted to or include his art. There is a very beautiful boulevard called Cours Mirabeau which is very wide and has many fountains. On Tuesdays and Thursdays there is a huge market there. We ate at one of the restaurants with outdoor seating. This city is well worth the visit!Guest review byEstherCanada - 10.0

The city is big enough to offer all the contents and small enough to allow you rest and peace. It is more beautiful in person than in the fairy-tale photos you see on the Internet.Food and restaurants justify the quality of French cuisineGuest review byLena - 8.0
The town is lovely.
The town is lovely. Enjoyed the Roman Colosseum, amphitheatre and baths. Visiting La Camargue our main reason for visiting Arles was a delight. However we found in general the food was a bit dissappointing. We visited the fabulous Luma Building which we loved also. Overall would recommend Arles for a 3 day trip maybe, rather than a weekGuest review byPhilipIreland - 10.0
Antibes is a beautiful city and you are a short train ride...
Antibes is a beautiful city and you are a short train ride away from Nice, Cannes, Monaco and other popular destinations. A day pass on the train cost 10 euros pp and we used this to our advantage! The old town is beautiful, lots of history, shops, bars and nice cafe's and restaurants. There are two small sandy beaches at the old town but if you take a walk to Juan Les Pins ( 30 minute on foot) there is a long stretch white sandy beach with beach clubs - perfect for my 18 year old daughter.Guest review byMelanie - 4.0
We Didn’t like Toulon. Large, busy place.
We Didn’t like Toulon. Large, busy place. The main town wasn’t nice and not somewhere I would want to walk around. Beaches were very average - dusty shingle rather than sand. I wouldn’t return or recommend. We included the visit in a stopover.Guest review bySarahUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Visiting St Tropez anytime is fabulous but during the Fetes...
Visiting St Tropez anytime is fabulous but during the Fetes des Voiles is something sensational! The atmosphere is electric, people are generally sooo cool and inclusive and the whole place just hums. People are having loads of fun everywhere but you don’t tend to see out of control drunks anywhere. If you are sitting on the fence and not sure about whether St Tropez is for you, go! You’ll be glad you did…but you need to know prices are higher.Guest review byDesley TruscottAustralia
