The welcome was exceptional! Each member of staff we met were fantastic. We stayed on a Saturday and we were fascinated to see the locals arrive in their droves to dine here at the “Twickenham Pub”. However, they had good reason, Dinner was first class - high standard Brasserie/Bistro Dining. Quality regional wines and exceptional service. Departed 4 am and the night manager made my coffee- she assisted with carrying my luggage to the car - as I took my coffee to go! This IBIS is one other hotels of similar class could learn alot from.

This is a great 4-star hotel. The owners and staff really care about their guests, and the details of a great stay—from an extremely friendly check-in to a generous parting gift of cold water and a Madeleine. The design of the rooms is also very good. They're generous with amenities - there's a Nespresso machine, and the mini bar has free water and soft drinks. The pool and jacuzzi area is nice and peaceful, and the breakfast is very good. They also offer bicycles to hire at reasonable prices, so you can easily have a nice cycle through the beautiful residential green streets if you want to explore the area or head to the beach. It's a great place to stay, and I would love to come back.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff is friendly and they make sure to look after you. The spa is exceptional. L’Armadin restaurant offers a proper gastronomic experience with local flavours and wines. We liked it so much that has lunch and dinner there during our 2 nights stay at the hotel. We loved the architecture of the hotel and the design. Rooms are comfortable and offer everything you need. The short boat ride to the beach was a pleasant surprise. The Spa is lovely and we enjoyed our couples massage. We are already looking at coming back next year.

An exceptional hotel, situated in its own vineyard. The location is fabulous, the food as very good and the wine of course is from their own production. Our stay included a complementary wine tasting in the vineyard shop (across the road). The Manager went out of her way to ensure all food requests were met. The gardens are beautiful and well kept, and there is a swimming pool for guests. The water was a little warmer than my taste, but I am sure most guests will like it that way. We stayed for four nights

There was so much to see and do!

There was so much to see and do! The History Museum in the Bourse shopping centre was fantastic! The Cosquer Cave was wonderful. We took the boat trip to the Calanques and enjoyed it. It was easy to get around and we used buses and the Metro. The best souvenir store was "Marseille in The Box". 13 Rue Reine Elizabeth. It is opposite the Carrefore store outside The Bourse. The man who runs it has items that are made for him in Marseille and unique items that are not found in the souvenir stores on the waterfront. He also speaks English and has good information about visiting Marseille. Great restuarant: Il Trio, 29 Pl.aux Huiles. In big plaza just behind the waterfront. Delicious and large size platter at a reasonable price.

Lovely city to visit, just go and try.

Lovely city to visit, just go and try. There was an amazing open market to explore (Tuesday) and we found some great places to eat. Only stayed a couple of nights, I would recommend 3 or 4. We traveled on Interrail and took a train direct from Paris Lyon to Montpellier Sud de France. It’s was fast about 3 hours. The station is out of town but we discovered that they are opening up a new line (Oct 2025) to link up with Montpellier station itself so you can change and not take a taxi or try you luck with a bus that could take 45mins. That’s going to make a huge difference.

A stunningly beautiful old town a blended mixture of medieval and 17th century buildings of honey-coloured stone and made all the better because cars are banned from the entire old centre. So all you hear are people's voices . Incredible markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays and a vibrant relaxed atmosphere. One of the most engaging and beautiful towns in France I have visited.

Avignon is great in October.

Avignon is great in October. Not too hot, not overwhelmed with people. I look forward to going back one day, but do yourself a favour and stay in Villeneuve, just outside Avignon. A proper village with real character. Much less expensive and just 1.40 EUR on the frequent buses to get into the heart of Avignon when you want to get there. Oh and parking there is free (unlike Avignon!).

Main take from my visit was how friendly and helpful everyone is in Carcassonne. Didnt have any bad experiences in shops, restaurants or bars. Such a laid-back city. Interesting small city with top class Roman remains (as big as Rome - though not so widely known). It is easy to move/walk around Nimes and I recommend it as a relaxing city. The Spanish themed Feria took place while I was there - great, enjoyable and lots of revellers - not relaxing but great fun for visitors of all ages. I hope you've got the picture. Enjoyable, lots of ancient sites, but up-to date entertainment and a relaxed atmosphere for all to enjoy. Finally, it's not a hilly city. Walkers can relax and take it at their own pace.

Lovely little gem of a town, lots of medieval history and a good food and drinks scene. People are really friendly and a lot speak a bit of English if your French isn’t very good! Lots of interesting bars and restaurants situated on either side of the canal. The cathedral is well worth visiting. There is also Les Halles covered market. A large open market takes place on Sunday around the canal. If you are a fan of Charles Trenet then a visit to his house/Museum is an absolutely must ~ fascinating. It’s within easy walking distance just over the railway line.
