The apartment was nice, but felt the owners were extremely rude and not helpful. We paid extra money to show up early. Also got an email saying what time we could show up and that is the time we showed up. We really just wanted to put the luggage there and go out. A cleaning lady was there when we showed up and she was very nice and told us we could sit in one the the rooms that was already cleaned…..so we did. She was almost finished cleaning. The cleaning lady left and everything was fine until the owned called and was nnasty and rude and would not let us get a word in. She said we were extremely rude for showing when we did and bothering and getting in the cleaning ladies way. She would not let us get a word in or listen to what we had to say. We did receive an email saying the time we could show up. She was talking very loud and very rude and did not want to listen to anything we had to say. We also sent several emails asking for instructions for the tv, which we could not get to work correctly.. We never got a response.Guest review byO'Connor - 10

St Quentin en Yvelines / Montigny-le-Bretonneux is a convenient location to visit Versailles and the trains can take you directly to Paris. The journey is about 40-50 minutes. However, the centre of St Quentin en Yvelines is not exactly pretty with apartment blocks and mid-rise buildings in abundance. Limited restaurants. It's a very smart upmarket town with delightful shops. The Friday Market in central square was just wonderful. The Chateau and surrounding parkland are beautiful with spectacular views of the River Seine and Paris. Very historical site . Town Centre: Quaint streets, traditional French cafés, bakeries, and small boutiques give the town a cozy, authentic vibe. The Saturday market is vibrant and a perfect spot for local produce and regional specialties. Bergerie Nationale: Originally established by Napoleon, this national sheepfold is now a working educational farm. Great for families and those interested in sustainable agriculture or animal husbandry. Rambouillet Forest (Forêt de Rambouillet): One of the largest forests near Paris, it’s a paradise for hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers. There was lots to do in the area, and the public transport was awesome. We purchased a weekly pass for the busses and trains, and it was so good. We really got our monies worth. I used Google Maps, and it was so effective in planning our routes wherever we went. Lots of markets in the area, and some lovely little shops to visit. Chaville has a good Chinese restaurant (Lotus D'or), it also has a theater/cinema, but we didn't visit it. The location is ideal for visiting Paris. You can take the bus (number 171) every 10 minutes towards the metro station or towards Chateâu Versailles. It also has enough public parkings available. The only downside: you need to take the bus and pay it first (using SMS) before you can use your visit paris travel card, because that's only available at the metro stations, which is quickly 4 km's away from Chaville.Guest review byKevin_SimonsBelgium - 10
