- From US$158.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 3,295 reviewsFull breakfast menu, cooked to order, plus the continental buffet while waiting for our food to arrive to round a happy, full belly to start our day of walking around Bath. We had just one night to tour Bath and the staff were so friendly in helping us plan out the day and how to best walk around the whole area. The next morning they were able to safely store our luggage while we finished touring around before catching a train back to London. Would highly recommend the Royal Hotel!Guest review byDawnUnited States
- From US$126.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.3Good - What previous guests thought, 3,327 reviewsEverything was perfect for us, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, In fact, they made a mistake with our reservation for the restaurant, it wasn't meant to open on New year's eve, but they got us a chef and he came and cooked for us that night. In a nutshell, they will go above and beyond for the customers, we highly recommend.Guest review byTonyIreland
- From US$339.98 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 501 reviewsLovely decor, rooms very clean and comfortable, hot tub room was a highlight! Loved that the water temperature was very warm in both pools and our hut tub, it was a bit cold outside so it was perfect! We also recieved a small welcome gift (bubbles and dessert) for our anniversary, which was such a personal touch from the staff.Guest review byNinaSlovenia
- From US$239.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 975 reviewsBeautiful, clean, safe, excellent location. Somehow it’s in the middle of everything but quiet. Nice restaurant, and the staff was extremely helpful. My one suggestion would be: the AC units were appreciated, but ours was too weak to be effective. Our beautiful room was a little warm. We still slept great and would return.Guest review bylaurieUnited States

Beautiful city – two nights just wasn’t enough!
Beautiful city – two nights just wasn’t enough! We stayed central, and everything was within walking distance. We loved our time in Bath: relaxing at the Thermae Spa, exploring the Roman Baths, taking a boat ride from near Pulteney Bridge, and visiting the iconic crescent. There’s a fantastic range of shops and a lovely market to wander through, plus so many great places to eat. A highlight was The Raven – amazing pie and mash! We’ll definitely be back.Guest review byKateUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Visiting mid-week I found the choice of places to eat away from the hotel was not great, some pubs were shut or not serving food and the Hungry Horse has a policy of shutting at 10 pm every day other than weekends - loads of Charity Shops but not much else however the easy access to Bath and Bristol by train make Keynsham a good place to stay if wishing to explore the area.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 6.0

You could clearly see that renovation was being undertaken the front looked charming and the restaurant was very comfortable and food very good. On arrival it didn’t feel welcoming and when we highlighted a broken piece ce of furniture the attitude to it was lack lustre. I can clearly see the potential for this to be a hidden as the town is picturesque.Guest review byNatalie - 10.0
From arrival to departure, we were taken care of.
From arrival to departure, we were taken care of. Escorted cheerfully to our rooms by one of the staff. Had a meal in restaurant, which was great. The bar staff and waiters took good care of our needs and even arranged a takeaway breakfast for two of our party leaving early in the morning. The room was fine (room 7 upstairs) and quiet. Power shower, soft towels and kettle with tea/coffee. Location good for access to Bristol. Some of the group were fishing at Blagdon and Chew lakes. Good for walks too.Guest review byElizabethUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely accommodation, very pretty frontage.
Lovely accommodation, very pretty frontage. Lots of parking space and access. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay. We needed to leave early on last day before breakfast time. They opened early for us, still offering full service. It was beautifully presented and very very clean.Guest review byElizabethUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Saltford is a lovely little town and ideally placed between Bath and Bristol with great cycling and walking routes. We stayed at the Riverside inn which is very good but they close early on Sunday, luckily, we had booked a meal at the Bird in Hand, which is a short walk along 'The Shallows', where the food is also very good.Guest review byJohn - 10.0
We stayed in the Mendip Magic cottage.
We stayed in the Mendip Magic cottage. On arrival we saw lovely cottages in a very attractive setting with lots of beautifully planted pots. The inside did not disappoint either. It was cosy and comfortable with everything a home would need. The host was so welcoming with nothing too much trouble. Children would love the friendly goats and chickens on site which is central for visiting Bath, Bristol and the Mendip Hills.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The room was very clean and well appointed., very comfortable beds, Staff friendly and helpful. We weren't troubled by any noise from the pub below. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty., I would recommend both breakfast and dinner. Overall an enjoyable stay and good value.Guest review byJonUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We loved Bath.
We loved Bath. There is so much history there and in the surrounding areas. We were there for six days and found the city more enjoyable during the weekdays. The weekend was to crowded with tourists. Yes-I realize that we are tourists but you will have a nicer time if you can plan in a way that avoids them. I found it impossible to really see and enjoy the Roman Baths because of the large numbers of other people trying to do the same thing. The city is extremely walkable and the pedestrian only streets are amazing. Don’t miss a chance to go to Bath. You won’t regret it.Guest review byAnonymous
