- From US$89.54 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 5,202 reviewsIt is just wonderful. The place, so quiet, beautiful, in the nature, with wild rabbits running around. The hotel itself is luxurious, classic countryside hotel. Spacious and cozy rooms with nice views. The price is very good. I was at the academic conference and my colleagues mostly were staying in the city. One colleague got a hotel with a slightly higher price than Rectory farm’s but she was complaining how horrible it was. And I heard others complaining about hotels. I felt we got the very good value for the price.Guest review byMortaLithuania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 18 reviewsIt was something different to anywhere we’ve stayed before, they had everything we needed, as it turnt out we’d bought our own cleaning products and tea coffee and sugar but it was all there so we wouldn’t have needed to! The bottle of Prosecco on arrival was a really lovely touch! Our nephew loved the ps3 and it was great there were board games! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!Guest review byCharlotteUnited Kingdom
- From US$271.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 3,590 reviewsReally nicely designed, very comfortable hotel, with kind, attentive staff. Checkin was quick, and we received an upgrade, which was a welcome surprise. The room was spacious, though my kids` room - who did not get the same upgrade - was rather tight, more like the usual UK room size. Breakfast was OK and the location of the hotel is excellent, colleges are fairly close.Guest review byTiborHungary

A great city, with so much to see.
A great city, with so much to see. Because we only live an hour away, we go regularly for 24 hours. You could stay much longer of you want to enjoy everything. Cars not welcome in town and parking limited so use the Park and Ride if you can. Lots of places to eat, many museums, colleges, chapels, the river, punting, pubs. Good market and interesting shopsGuest review byChristineUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Second visit to Ely as we enjoyed our first visit so much.
Second visit to Ely as we enjoyed our first visit so much. The market on Saturday mornings is amazing with a great variety of stalls, including many locally made crafts. Drayman's Son a local brewery pub/craft beer place is just wonderful. Ely museum and Oliver Cromwell house are well worth the visit. The Cathedral is not to be missed. Plenty of small cafes The riverside is wonderful to walk along and sit and watch the world and boats go by. Places to eat and drink along the riverside and also a large antique/collectables centre. There are excellent links to Cambridge/London from the train station. Everything within the centre is accessible on foot.Guest review byMichelleUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The Town centre is full of drunks on benches at all hours of the day. There are reports of high crime compared to other towns in Cambridgeshire. It has a number of things to see such as the Wisbech and Fenland Museum, Peckover House, Elgood's Brewery and Gardens(open every Thursday) and Octavia Hill's birthplace, who was one of the founders of the National Trust.Guest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Gone down-hill in the last few years and no decent shops.
Gone down-hill in the last few years and no decent shops. As with most small towns, completely overtaken with charity shops, vape shops and barbers.....a real shame as we used to love a stroll into the townGuest review byALEXANDERUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Clean. Spacious room overlooking barley fields.
Clean. Spacious room overlooking barley fields. Friendly staff and a tasty breakfast buffet that was all a traveller would need. Excellent value and good to know the Old Great North Road =B1043 which is clue how to get there! We ate authentic Indian cuisine at the Resto next door and took good Value diesel at the 24/7 pumps also next door.Guest review byMrs L LUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Quirky hotel 500 years old.
Quirky hotel 500 years old. Locality - central to village- close to Grantham water and Buckden Towers. Basic room. The hotel requires an upgrade but its architecture is great. The plumbing is a challenge. Overall I enjoyed my stay.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Arrived at night in the dark.
Arrived at night in the dark. There was some sort of carribean African celebration party going on in the pub with people drinking in the car park in front of the building. Nobody on the reception desk when we got there and people that were there ignored us until an elderly man went and searched for a receptionist.Guest review byTrevorUnited Kingdom
