We had a 2 night stay. We would book again. The Manager and staff were exceptional, professional, friendly and provided first class service. The restaurant, The Forge is excellent Michelin guide level but without doubt was at Michelin star quality. The breakfast and dinner were excellent. A good choice of beverages and wine. The cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel was of a high standard. I liked the quirky decor design throughout the hotel. We were a group of mum’s & daughters celebrating 80th and 85th birthdays - the entire staff made us very welcome and made our stay special. Added plus was complimentary soft drinks were provided in the bedroom fridge. The hotel is mobility accessible throughout with the exception that the beds in both standard and the accessible room were very high and difficult to get into. A NCP car park is available 5 minimum walk from the hotel.

Excellent stay at the The Boathouse Inn. We stayed one night in a very comfy, clean and quiet double room with a private bathroom. We came by car and it's literally 5 minutes away from the Old Town, so location wise it was really convenient. We could eat in the restaurant for a reasonable price. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend it to everyone who wants a quiet place and not too far away from town.

The breakfast was great, food, staff and dining room was extremely pleasant. I’d been wanting to stay at Shrigley for years and my stay exceeded my expectations. The room with the view overlooking the front was amazing and I particularly enjoyed and appreciated the original features and history of the building it has a real Downton Abbey feel to it. The Dog and Partridge is near to the hotel. Bonus.

The Dog and Partridge is near to the hotel. Bonus. External appearance of Paddington Hotel could be so much improved by some simple gardening. Some easy jet-washing would improve the external walls and general appearance. My stay was a mere 'ok'. I just happened to be in Warrington that night. Customer service was adequate, but below average. My room was functional and everything worked. It gets an 'OK' from me, but I wouldn't take my better half there for all the tea in China!

I went to Crewe to see the local area. I visited Nantwich and Sandbach. Nantwich is a lovely small town, and Sandbach is a bit bigger, both lovely to visit. The Market in Nantwich is lovely to visit, and there are a couple of National Trust places we didn't have enough time to visit, but we will do next time.

There is quite a range of shops along the high street; the surrounding houses and streets are leafy and pleasant. I found a cafe for coffee / cake / light lunch and the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. There is quite a lot of traffic which drives through. There are great activities though as I was visiting family I did not wish to pursue them - there seem to be bowls [on a crown green - not ten pin], golf, plenty of Churches. Quarry Bank Mill [NT] is close by.

Only a short break primarily to visit the Quarry Bank Museum of the Cotton Industry at Styal (which was superb). Runcorn is beautiful and we came to visit relatives. But our stay at the hotel wasn’t worth it. It was old and needs overall revamping. Reception staff was nice but the room was so tiny with AC not working and bed was so uncomfortable. Wouldn’t stay at this property again.

Our second stay and we feel very relaxed and at home in the hotel. We booked 3 nights but then booked another night whilst we were there. The breakfast and bar food were excellent and we ate there every evening. Unfortunately we missed breakfast one morning and I wish the meal times had been available in our room as we had paid for two breakfasts. The hotel is very good value for our purpose, visiting our daughter.
