The Cathedral interior is a gem of national heritage.
The Cathedral interior is a gem of national heritage. The exterior needs a lot of work. A pleasant walk around Cathedral Close but driving in and out of Hereford is to be avoided during rush hour. My Satnav became demented trying to find the Aylestone Court Hotel from the A49 out of Monmouth.Guest review byIainUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Ross is a small historic town in a lovely position with views over the countryside from the higher part and walks and places to eat and drink along the riverside..The shops in the town are rather limited with lots of charity shops but there is an excellent bookshop and some antique and gift shops. There are a number of pubs and restaurants with varying menus. There are buses to surrounding towns and villagesGuest review byjayneItaly - 10.0

Such lovely hosts and very thoughtful touches. It was a beautiful place and we would love to visit more often. Hosts were amazing. It was very calm and peaceful and lovely views. Very clean and everything was thought of. We even had a lovely card and flowers for our anniversay. It was a lovely suprise. We are familiar with the area so loved every minuteGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Very pretty location on the river Wye. Lots to see and do.
Very pretty location on the river Wye. Lots to see and do. The viewpoint at Symonds Yat rock is brilliant and the cafe at the top does lovely ice cream. Enjoyed watersports with YOFI Paddlesports and would highly recommend them, we felt very safe and had great tutorial before setting out - went on a half day canoe trip with the family and also hired some paddleboards. Ye Olde Ferrie Inn was great for food and dog friendly. Would definitely be back to the area.Guest review byLindsey - 8.0

Fownhope and “The Greenman” was a very satisfactory place to stay with easy access and a short pleasant drive to the city centre. I was not able to take advantage of local amenities and activities as I was otherwise engaged attending a course. But I was aware of a number of sporting and leisure activities available within the immediate vicinity, and beautiful surroundings to explore by car or on foot There was a varied menu available although I am not aware whether a children’s menu was availableGuest review bykirstyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
An historic town with a rich building heritage.
An historic town with a rich building heritage. It was a great centre from which to explore the region. Our visit focussed on gardens and historic churches. We drove the Black & White Villages Trail, and visited Brockhampton Estate (NT), which was stunningly beautiful, Croft Castle, The Laskett Garden, Hereford Cathedral, the Garden of the Wind, Hellenes Manor, Ludlow, Ledbury and Malvern.Guest review byPollyUnited Kingdom - 8.0

At first I thought it was the town time forgot BUT there were shops you really need, a butchers, bakers (no candle stick makers as I was aware off!)Also a large coop supermarket and at least 3 pubs. There were a few quaint shops/antiques and an ironmongers which seemed to sell everything from kettles to ladders.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Leintwardine in itself was not our primary destination, or the reason for this visit. However, as a base to tour the area, it offers enough local restaurants. I like The Lion. For those travelling by car, please take advantage of the local filling station. Must be the cheapest fuel in England and worth queueing up for!Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0
This lodge was great value for money.
This lodge was great value for money. Access was easy with a key lock and the lodge had everything we needed. Located in a lovely setting. The staff at the golf club were amazing, special shout out to James, Chemat and Ellie. Breakfast in the golf clubhouse on the day we checked out was a great touch and saved us cooking on our last morning. An impromptu golf lesson was also fab.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom
