Great place to stay! Very spacious, we had 7 people and never felt like we were in each others way. Bedrooms were all great and would be lovely to sit on the patio if it were sunny. 10 minutes away from the little town of Bala which had plenty of shops, pubs and food to grab. Close to other locations and sights and within walking distance of a few lovely views. Top stay!

The apartment is beautiful and it’s location right on the lake ensures you have a peaceful and beautiful escape. The view over the lake is spectacular and it was lovely to see all the wildlife and birds whilst relaxing and enjoying the view sat on the balcony with a good book and a cup of tea. Bala is a lovely town at the end of the lake.

Bala is a lovely town at the end of the lake. It seems to consist mainly of one high Street with various shops, pubs and eateries. The lake is beautiful. We hired a double kayak which cost 40.00ph and the whole hiring process was super easy. We also did the steam train ride along the lake which was lovely. There's lots more to explore so I'd definitely go back for a couple of days and explore the area some more.

I have visited Llanuwchllyn since 1969, at the Urdd activity site, then at Pugh's campsite, from other sites nearer Bala, and now back to Pugh's, but in the bungalow. Llanuwchlyn is culturally important as the home of Sir Ifan ab O.M. Edwards, and the Urdd, which he created. It has a wonderful little steam train which offers rides up to Bala, and houses a small but fascinating museum telling the history of the engines and the quarries where they originally worked. The volunteers there are friendly and interesting. The Chinese takeaway in nearby Bala has been there for decades. It is very good food and exceptional value. Bala Sailing Club welcomes just about all wind powered craft. You can also sail and fish from Pugh's, buying permits onsite. Bala itself is worth visiting, with small shops and pubs and 2 statues. Wonderful walks viewing the lake. Not far from Vyrnwy, which has a gothic style dam and water towers, and a birdwatching site.

Our stay was just fabulous from start to finish.

Our stay was just fabulous from start to finish. Lovely people running a wonderful little B&B in a fabulous and beautiful location. The breakfasts, cooked fresh to order every day, were faultless. The local pub, The Eagle, is well worth a visit and the food looked amazing but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to try it. Llanuwchllyn is a beautiful village and easy to find but perfectly positioned for visiting the area and Bala, Our hosts recommended a Bistro in Bala and that was a great tip - we ate there twice.

An old haunt with long gone relatives in the area - good to reminise ! Quiet country town with some delightful scenery around and areas to visit. Shocked that the Welsh highland railway charges such a huge amount to travel. Impressed that road surfaces were so good , with hardly a single pothole anywhere. Very light traffic. Scenery to equal Swiss !

This is great place to taste the real Wales.

This is great place to taste the real Wales. Llyn Tegid is a wonderful location. Bala is fine and easily accessed for more shops and restaurants but Llanuwchllyn is probably the more attractive end of the lake and provides a quieter village ambience. The mountain road over Bwlch y Groes to Dinas Mawddwy is a must and starts just outside the village. Long may Llanuwchllyn retain its language and its culture. Please respect and promote these, when you visit
