- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.0Good - What previous guests thought, 1,820 reviewsSuch a friendly, helping and lovely staff at Avon Hotel. They helped us with everyting we needed, city instructions,Oyster cards, socket adapter, taxi for the airport.I felt so sorry I didnt had the chance to say goodbay with a big hug because of the early hour we left.I recomand Avon Hotel,it is closed to eveeything,15- 20 min to anywhere you wished to go.The Paddington station is 3 min walk.We only used the undergound and not the bus.The Hyde Park is 5- 10 min walk and it is amazing to visit. We basically walked from Hyde Park to Victoria station. The breakfast was also very good and tasty, with coffee, orange juice, tea, fruits. In London it is not easy to find a hotel which offers also breakfast, therefore for this location is a plus and it is something what we were looking for when choosing the hotel.Highly recomomend Avon Hotel!Guest review byIsabellaRomania
- From US$626.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 35 reviewsThe location is amazing, the hotel very nice and clean, and the staff were amazing. We only stayed one night (and were given a very unexpected and much appreciated upgrade to a suite), but enjoyed the spa and the breakfast and would more than happily stay here again. Also, the hotel was excellent value for money compared to other hotels in the Mayfair area (nearly 1/3 of the price) and I don't know what the other hotels could provide extra that would justify the higher price.Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom

There is so much to do and see, the transport is very efficient and it's easy to get around. We went to a show and visited Westfield Stratford which is great for shopping and has a good choice of places to eat.Guest review byGrayUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Food is great and cheap. Hotels are reasonably priced. Plenty of options to pick up your stay. The Piccadilly line goes straight to central, and even if you drive, it is 30-40 minutes to reach central London. Heathrow is a 15-20 minute drive away.Guest review bySumanth RajUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Well located for Railway travel to London and Gatwick Airport. Local Mall a bit awkward to reach as subway access closed. Quite a few dining options within 10 - 15 minutes walk if you know the way / have a local map. Good local buses and tram serviceGuest review byRobinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Went for the Harry Potter studio tour. Did not disappoint at all! If you go it is definitely a full day, we weren’t expecting for it to be so good or for us to be there that long. We were there for over 5 hours and did not once get bored!Guest review byChelseaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I was born in Kingston and lived there for a large piece of my life. I like coming to Kingston as I can catch up with friends and family. Love the restaurants along the Thames tow path and the vast array of shops. London being a stones throw away by train.Guest review bySamiUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Richmond is a wonderful town, with plenty of entertainment...
Richmond is a wonderful town, with plenty of entertainment such as theatres and cinema, especially Richmond Theatre on Richmond Green. There are plenty of wonderful walking routes and parks, Richmond Royal Park is beautiful. Loads of fantastic Pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes. Excellent transport links across London and wider areas. Richmond can be expensive, but is worth the extra costs for a short break.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The local subway was well used and we ate there.
The local subway was well used and we ate there. There was reasonable choice and hot drinks, which I didn't expect. Depending on what you like to eat, there are plenty of small eateries. Where we were, there was a station and many buses so connections are there to get around. Pleasant enough suburb.Guest review byMarionUnited Kingdom - 6.0
I recently stayed at Heatherbank Guest House.
I recently stayed at Heatherbank Guest House. The location is relatively convenient for Stansted Airport – about an hour by car transfer – and the staff were friendly enough. As my room did not have a microwave, they kindly allowed me to use the kitchen one. The room and bathroom were clean, with fresh towels provided daily, which I appreciated. However, one major issue left me quite frustrated. On the morning of my departure, I had an early flight at 7 am and needed to wake up at 3 am. To my surprise, the electricity (or main lighting) in my room and bathroom was completely off. I had to shower using my phone’s flashlight. Thankfully, I had finished packing the night before, as doing so in pitch darkness would have been impossible. I checked, and it wasn’t just my room – the small room between my entrance and the main hallway also had no power. Only the main hallway lights were on, which was a relief, as otherwise carrying two heavy suitcases downstairs would have been extremely unsafe. This situation made me think: what if a guest were ill and needed the bathroom at night, a breastfeeding mother needing light, or someone returning late in the evening? I had noticed the generator (or main power) going on and off during the two previous nights as well, with a short power surge to the mini fridge, which was quite noisy. This is an important matter that should be communicated to guests and fixed promptly. While the cleanliness and some of the staff’s helpfulness were positives, this power outage experience left me feeling stressed and disappointed.Guest review byJuliaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Brentford has been upgraded beyond recognition in the last...
Brentford has been upgraded beyond recognition in the last 10 years and especially in the last 5 years. It has become one of the very beautiful and upmarket locations along the River Thames and opposite the Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew - a world heritage site - and in the immediate proximity to famous Richmond and its historic palaces and cultural sites, picturesque town centre and equally famous RIchmond Park. Bearing in mind that this is less then half an hour away from the very centre of London, it is a really great location for a holiday, even a city-escape and offers more famous landscapes, River and green walks than probably any other borough in London. Yet it is much more tranquil than any place closer to London with a host of nice new restaurants and cafes.Guest review byKarinUnited Kingdom - 8.0
