- From $274.98 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,237 reviewsThis place is an absolute gem and offers excellent value for money. It’s located in a stunning spot right on the loch, providing beautiful views. The cottage was spacious, impeccably maintained, and spotlessly clean. It had everything our family of four needed, including a well-equipped kitchen. The spa and pool were wonderful additions to our stay. A special mention goes to the staff—everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. In particular, Wanda, the receptionist, went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable experience.Guest review byNivIsrael
- From $125.93 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,895 reviewsI stay at Kilconquhar Castle Estate whenever I visit Fife for work and golf. It is in a perfect location close to many of the top golf courses in the world. The staff are always personable, accommodating, and helpful. The villas, although a bit dated, are perfect for golf holidays with a group of friends. We loved having the three-hole warm-up area available before hitting the links, as most Scots do not warm up before playing. The bar is a great place to unwind after a day on the links. I highly recommend the estate.Guest review byRichard P. AttishaCanada

There was so much history, galleries, culture, beautiful parks and gardens to see, didn’t have enough time to see this beautiful city in the 4 days I spent there, I have read about Edinburgh in some books and have seen in many shows, so would like to return to explore some more.Guest review byTeresaAustralia - 8.0

The night life was very lively.
The night life was very lively. However, that might have been due to the Loch Ness Marathon event on Sunday, with around 10,000 runners, and more friends, family and supporters in the town, including myself. All the pubs and restaurants were packed on Saturday night and the train leaving on Monday morning had standing room only. It was a lovely town, with the beautiful, wide, River Ness flowing through it. There seemed to be lots of space to move around and crossing the roads was easy during the day. There a number of lovely parks nearby, including the Torvean parkrun, which I tried out on Saturday.Guest review byMR C GUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Only had a day there but went on a boat trip in the morning. Nice little shopping centre and the church was worth a visit. Lots of shops, pubs and eating places. Had a very nice dinner at Crannog restaurant. We were too late to see the Museum as it was just shutting at 4.00 pm.Guest review byAnitaUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Oban was great. My booking through Booking.com was terrible.
Oban was great. My booking through Booking.com was terrible. The hotel (Great Western Hotel) was a mess. Booked a third floor “Family Room” ($270), two beds. Upon arrival the elevator (lift) was not working nor had it been working for 8 days before our arrival. My partner uses a cane/walker. Had to walk up the first flight of stairs, even the front desk mentioned she could not walk the stairs as she was winded with the first flight. Offered a first floor room, one bed that was so small you could not get around. Offered a second room… a bit larger but still one bed the carpet had holes, mold in the walls, bathroom was dirty. We opted for a new property again booked through Booking.com. Booking.com offered us a 20pound voucher for our troubles. We have used Booking.com as our go to online booking site. We will no longer be using booking.com as they are willing to book you, but will not back up their booking. Booking.com through reviews (if they cared) would have noticed the negative comments being made. yet still was booking through the website. Even contacting Booking.com my calls were dropped or sent to a dead line.Guest review byPaulUnited States - 6.0

Pitlochry is a beautiful town, but now so many visitors you cannot get in any restaurants unless booked in advance and walking on the street is hazardous for anyone with mobility issues as you have to keep trying to avoid people not looking where they are going.Guest review byAnnaCanada - 10.0

The fact that we stayed beside the grounds of the Battle of Bannockburn was fantastic, great history, unfortunately the visitor centre was closed during our stay. We were there for the history and were not disappointed, taking in the Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument, Battle of Bannockburn, The Kelpies, and the Falkirk Wheel. Having a rental vehicle with built in navigation was a bonus and made getting around so much easier than if doing so strictly by map.Guest review byrobertsonCanada - 10.0

In fairness we only saw the town immediately around Ashtree House but it looked a little down-at-the-heels. Had a very good pizza at a small place near Ashtree House. Who knew you could get a Haggis pizza?Guest review byKenneth
