We came by car and got a parking space right in front of the hotel. The location was OK with us because we didn't mind a 30 minute walk to the main attractions in the city. The hotel is next to the main road, the neighborhood is OK, well lit and surprisingly clean (since it is a huge city with millions of people). The hotel is very well maintained and clean, the rooms are also well equipped with everything you might need. The hotel staff is super professional and helpful; all of them (at the reception desk and restaurant, the maids). They advised us on what to see, which the most scenic routes and streets are, what public transport is the best to use (since traffic in Athens is nerve-racking). In general they ignore you when you ask for a ride. Have your hotel arrange drop off and pick up. there are many restaurants, but not all have the same quality food. Rafina îs a nice place to stay if you eat to be close to the airport . We spent 2 nites and hired a car . This means you can drive to Rafina ( an EASY 25 min drive ) and the next day we drove back to the airport to take the tram into Monastraki Athens to go to Plaka etc and back to the airport ( 9Euro each way ) .This way no parking issues in Athens . In terms of location, it's a bit complicated to get to the apartment, but we found it after a few minutes of walking. The owner of the apartment is nice, the bed is nice, the room is decorated in a beautiful antique vintage, the balcony is large with a beautiful view of the forest.
