Our hotel, a haven of spotless serenity nestled near the heart of the city, set the tone for a seamless stay. Mornings began with panoramic strolls along the Danube, afternoons were spent admiring architectural gems like the Parliament and Fisherman's Bastion, and evenings unfolded aboard a river cruise beneath twinkling bridges.     Budapest is a historic city with beautiful architecture and great diversity. There is always an activity to do or a place to visit. The ruin bars (i.e. Szimpla) are a must go to, and sites like Buda Castle, Margrit Island and Fisherman's Bastion are gorgeous. The city situates so many cultures, which means there's a wide range of international foods and people. Be sure to try local Peksegs and cafes, with a quick google search you can find them all around with a variety of pastries, desserts and coffees. Feel free to explore too, there's a few underground hidden gems, however, it's safer to look at reviews online first as some of the places are tourist traps. Also, it's good to know a bit of Hungarian, but most people speak English. It's a lively city, but remember to respect the locals, they are constantly accommodating tourists, so that can be overwhelming. Transportation is also excellent around the city, once you have a pass which is easy to access on the BudapestGO App, the buses and metro take you anywhere.
