Awesome place as a base to explore southern Goa. I really appreciated: - the comfort, with good mattress and pillows - good bathroom with powerful shower with warm water available all the time, toilet paper, soap / shampoo, towels - nice balcony - mineral water provided every day free of charge - fridge, kettle and mugs / glasses were present in my room - the location, a couple of hundred meters from palolem main beach, accessed via a narrow sand path - nice restaurants and shops in the area - possible to pay by card (with very small additional fee) or cash Above all, the host is amazing, a very kind and knowledgeable woman, she gave me suggestions for where to eat (good recommendations), she booked a scooter for me, and helped arranging transport.

    The check in was so easy and was given a complete booking receipt printed on request. The room is old school but really clean and attention to details noted. The only caution is the water heater gets surprisingly hot very shortly (Too hot). The most surprising item was the very modern digital flat screen TV which plays all sorts of files and USB. The only drawback is there is no WIFI . Overall, I will stay at this hotel every time I'm in Margao. . Across the street is the famous Longuinous Restaurant which has been serving meals for over 70 years (?) I highly recommend open from 08;30 -2100 (?) otherwise there are a few chai stalls about 250 meters in front of the hotel for the after 2300 snack runs. There is also a famous ice cream parler right next door to the hotel which is open late. I suggest you bring your water, drinks , and snacks before you arrive at the hotel for your convenience as the hotel restaurant remains closed.

    Our Amazing Stay in Goa! Our stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! The room was comfortable and well-maintained, the breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the pool was perfect for relaxation. The location was also ideal—just a short distance from the beach, making it very convenient. A special thanks to Sanjana, who was in touch with us from the very beginning and ensured we had a smooth and safe journey from our arrival in Goa to our departure. Raghu was also amazing—he gave us a wonderful tour, pointing out all the key spots, including nearby restaurants, which was really helpful. And a big shoutout to Bhulbul, who went above and beyond to assist us during breakfast, especially with our toddler. Overall, it was the best stay we could have asked for in Goa! Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for great hospitality and a memorable experience.

    The best location in South Goa, right on the beach. The view from our room was breathtaking. The airport is only 10 minutes drive. The breakfast and buffet was particulsarly impressive. The staff was very friendly and helped us in every way including a transportation to the airport. I have been visiting Goa from USA for the past 20 years. I found this jem accidentally and fell in love with it. and plan to stay at this hotel every year. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Goa.

    This was our 5th stay at Blue Lagoon, but our first since the pandemic. The access road is not for the faint hearted (especially with two people and saddle bags on a motorcycle), but this helps to keep crowds at bay. The beach and lagoon are stunning, and the newer seafront cottages are spacious and well equipped. As always, the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, and the food at the restaurant is superb. We had an outstanding week and cannot wait to return.

    We spent a perfect week at the sea star staying in an elevated room. From the time we arrived until we checked out everything was perfect. The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. The room was big and comfortable and the food was delicious. We ended up eating most of our meals at the resort restaurant as it was so good. We highly recommend the sea star!

    Palolem is a great place to base yourself for food, other beaches, backwaters, dolphon spotting , and for travelling around to waterfalls spice farm nature resevres etc. its just over 1.5 hours from the airport so if you have an early flight in or out I'd suggest a night staying on Bogmalo beach

    Presently Goa is going under a lot of good maintenance work. They are operating bridges and also so the traffic become very hectic. Also I noticed that the tourist drive very rash and they don’t see the crowd should be managed like you know the traffic police and traffic department should take care of this thing that it can be a safe for people around their driving And also the pedestrian who walk they walk blindly like they don’t even care about the cars coming in and the bikes driven by tourist. They don’t even care how they drive. They drive very fast and rest. That’s one thing traffic should be controlled in Goa and the traffic etiquette.

    Not a destination I would recommend unless you love tacky bars on the beach with glaring lights and loud music. Very busy beach and not very clean. I wish I had not wasted 4 nights there. A few good places to eat in this very small town. No sights to see here.

    This is not the first time we are travelling to Goa.

    This is not the first time we are travelling to Goa. Previously also we have travelled, and we had a very pleasant experience. This time my wife was travelling alone. From Madgaon station she had travelled to hotel where she was informed that there is no room available in spite of having a confirmed booking. The hotel persons did not have the courtesy to inform us about the development either by phone or by mail. The location is also such that it is in 5th floor of some Commercial Complex. It was good that we have not paid for the accomodation in advance.

    We just spent 4 wonderful days at Caravela Beach Resort, Goa, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made us feel at home. The property itself is pristine, the beach is beautifully maintained and so clean, and the food—absolutely delicious! Every meal felt like a treat, lovingly served by the most courteous staff. The highlight for me was the mini golf, which completely won my heart, while my little one had the time of her life exploring, playing, and soaking in the joy of the resort—so much so that she isn’t ready to go back to Gurgaon! A heartfelt thanks to everyone who made our stay special—there are too many names to remember, but a special mention to Pooja and Saroja at the front desk, Satya Narayan Singh, Amit, Nitika from restaurant and Fatima from housekeeping, and Babyrose from guest reception. Each one of you went above and beyond to make our holiday truly memorable. Kudos to the entire Caravela team, you’ve given us memories to cherish, and we can’t wait to be back!

    Leisure area was nice .

    Leisure area was nice . But there’s no safety for customers if they get their own transportation sorted. Hotel doesn’t provide any safety or even let the car come into to pick you up . Utter non sense. If we had known this before we wouldn’t have visited this place at all . We had to involve police to calm the situation down. While 7 staff members from the hotel are just starting at us and enjoying the show . Hotel taxi prices are 3xTimes higher than normal prices . And have their own set of rules .

    The area is quite calm and not so urban.

    The area is quite calm and not so urban. Travellers should be prepared for a constant taxi service. Prices are fair but not cheap as in the centre of Margao. ATMs and other services are close to the beaches and accessible within 10min from everywhere. Hospital is available, even bigger and higher class hotels are (if help needed). Restaurants and beach shacks are all of good service and very good food quality.
