The location was great and the accommodation beautiful. Its in an old palazzo so very quaint on the outside but the rooms are like new inside. The staff were outstanding and did all they could to assist and provide recommendations. The breakfast was amazing, so much food! The breakfast room has a stunning artwork on the ceiling too. We highly recommend this hotel and would go back when in Naples again.

We had a very comfortable room with a queen size and a twin bed. The rain shower had great pressure and lots of hot water. Air conditioning was excellent as well as WiFi and tv. The staff was very helpful and happily answered any questions we had about how to get around in Pompeii and good restaurants. There was a lovely little garden where we winded down our days with a cocktail prepared in the bar. Breakfast was more than adequate and the bonus was that it was 2 blocks from the train station station and a 15 minute walk from the entrance to the archeological site of Pompeii

Sorrento is a popular tourist town with a wide variety of places to eat and an ideal starting point to visit Capri, Pompeii, Herculaneum and other sites. The new Campagnia Artecard is not as flexible as the paper card, the 3 days one is best as it includes travel on the trains and buses, however if you have any connectivity issues with your mobile phone it is not good. We found that people with disabilities or limited mobility are not always provided for, younger travellers will not notice. The train station is around an 8 minute walk away from the Blue Coral Suites, with a great selection of restaurants. Best way to get to Sorrento is the Carravagio Coach that runs from the Airport, fabulous views, airconditioned and comfortable.

    Ischia is a lovely island.

Ischia is a lovely island. We were only there for 2 nights and 3 days so didn't get the chance to explore it as much as we wanted, but we loved what we saw and would love to return. There were many places to eat in the town of Ischia, and we also explored the San'tangelo area. One of our favourite meals was at a simple family run restaurant called Porta di Agartha, which is part way up Mount Epomeo. The food is lovely and the people were so welcoming. It is a nice alternative to the seaside locations available on the island.

Capri is great to explore via taxi, get up early and head up to Ana Capri, less traffic more intimate area. The chair lift is a must to the top of the mountain, and lunch up top of the mountain is amazing. Capri is nice in the evenings to walk around and shop with plenty of places to get cocktails, and explore.

Positano is a total zoo!!! The alleys are jam-packed with people and lined with shops selling tourist junk. The roads are extremely curvy and hazardous to walk on (shoulders are about 6" wide). Every time I tried to take a bus there were about 4 busloads of people waiting and it was a battle to get on.

Lovely town with great resturants and the Archaeological site of Pompeii , plus 3 train stations which allowed travel to Herculaneum, Sorrento, Naples and Salerno and the Amalfi Coast. A great central location. We used the beaches at Vico Esquerence as they were a lot cleaner that those at Castlemmare Di Stabi, but we did food shopping at Lidl there and the shopping Center in Pompeii was a treat.

Maiori is a quieter (thankfully) seaside town along the Amalfi Coast. Its perfect for exploring the whole coastline by ferry and bus. Its also very easy to visit Vietri ( think ceramics on a major scale). You can start the Path of Lemons right in Maiori ( we did) and also visit Ravello. We did the hike to Ravello ( there's a fork in the path) and it was really testing. Although you can see Ravello, its across a valley and so the hike takes you uphill, through the mountain forests and around the valley - some 8-9 kms as opposed to the easy lemon path (tough). Maiori has everything, but its not hectic like Amalfi and Positano ( you can easily escae back home) Don't hesitate to book Maiori or Minori (around the corner) both offer exceptional value when compared. Beware of accommodation up or down flights of stairs to get there, that's what many places will do to you - carrying luggage is tiresome.
