- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 734 reviewsIt is always a great pleasure to come to this wonderful and relaxing place - with the beautiful beach and the cottages in the refreshing green pine forest right on the beach. But what makes really the huge difference is the great people/staff here!!! The warm atmosphere among each other and the interaction - also with the guests - is unique here. I would particularly like to mention the manager Luca Vigentini and the receptionist Lyuba Smirnova. I found both of them to be incredibly warm, welcoming, attentive and at the same time highly professional - always thinking along with me, implementing my wishes: with the intention that guests can enjoy a totally carefree and relaxed holiday. My next trip there is already planned... :))Guest review bycorneliaSwitzerland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,287 reviewsEverything was excellent 👌🏼👌🏼 the cottage was big enough. The environment was superb with everything you need, parks, restaurants and the beach. Our kids loved it! They are 4 and 6 y old. We went in June and it was perfect. Low season and not so crowded. The pool areas were great with everything nearby. There was kidsclub and entertainment every day! Kitchen was well equipped with new spunge and supplies for washing dishes. So great! We stayed for 3 nights but will stay longer next time when we go by car. The taxi is 20 euro from the train station and only 10 minutes away. Everything was great! We will come back again!. Thanks for a great service!Guest review byBiljanaSweden

There's not a lot there.
There's not a lot there. And when the cruise ships come in, it gets manic with people getting on busses. We'd a BAD experience with the inspectors that come on buses. They home in on tourist's, when they checked our tickets that we did on the card machine, though not our fault, we wanted 2 tickets, it gave us 1 and the called us crimenalsGuest review byBoyle - 8.0
A very attractive town.
A very attractive town. The beaches are superb, but unless you head out of town you need to go into a beach club. There are no free access beaches in town. Some hotels have an arrangement with a beach club for free or discounted access for guests, so it is worth checking this if you intend to use the beaches. It can cost typically EUR30-40 for 2 chairs, a sunbed and an umbrella. They don't offer reduced rates until 3-4pm. That will add up after a few days. The restaurants are OK but nothing special. Most of them serve the same food, which can get boring. We ate in our hotel restaurant more than we usually would, but the quality and variety of food on offer was better than any outside restaurant we tried. Apart from the beach, shops and walking up and down the promenade, there is not much to actually do in Viarregio, so you may want to get out on some day trips. Pisa and Luca are accessible by train, although we found them both to be disappointing (especially Luca - what a dump!). We found the train service a bit hit and miss, although it is cheap. Consider hiring a car if you plan to get out of Viareggio. If you pick up and drop off at the airport, it will also be useful for airport transfers.Guest review byFarnboUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Everything was a bit run-down and in need of restoration.
Everything was a bit run-down and in need of restoration. The beaches and restaurants were almost entirely empty of people, so there was a a lack of excitement and "buzz" about the whole area. I might have expected this a month later, but not in September.Guest review byAntony - 8.0

It was okay, there were some nice restaurants in the area and beaches with a good price. However, not that many things happening. But it was close to other cities and towns so very easy to do a day trip.Guest review byAdriana PatrycjaAustria - 10.0

Absolutely loved Cstiglione della Pescaia, the sandy beaches and refreshing water, Of course nothing compares to our Australian white sandy beaches and pristine waters, this place comes in a close second. Most suitable for families and children as the sea water was calm and shallow.Guest review bySoniaAustralia - 10.0

Beautiful little town nestled in between the mountains and sea. The locals are very friendly, it's an easy town to walk around as it's not too big. The beach is HUGE so you can have a lovely walk along it. Lots of places to eat and drink to suit a variety of budgets – highlights were Caffe Soldi, Caffe Roma, Pesce Baracca, Bocconcino. There are lots of places to visit nearby – Pietrasanta, Lucca, Pisa, Cinequeterra – or you can relax on the beach in Forte, you will not be bored!Guest review bySarahUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Were there off-season: very few people, many places closed, lots of free parking space everywhere! Rather complicated access to the beaches. Beware of leaving bikes, even if locked in remote places, the tyres of our bikes had been punctured, probably in preparation to be stolen later at night. Else, wonderful natural beaches nearby and other natural reserves.Guest review byMarcoSwitzerland - 8.0
I travelled to San Vincenzo for sailing.
I travelled to San Vincenzo for sailing. Given the relatively large marina and the geographical location close to Elba and Isola Capraia, Vincenzo is a great starting point for a sailing holiday. Beyond that, the city also offers some interesting sightseeing and a nice old city centre with a beautiful pedestial zone with numerous restaurants.Guest review byOtsoFinland - 8.0

A very pretty island but if you travel on the ferry for a day trip make sure you check the weather report because we got stuck there overnight which was stressful. The Ferry company had no website and the phone number was engaged all of the time. The information was non-existent and staff were at times rude and not helpful. Were given false information and told the next ferry was at 3pm. We had to cancel the accommodation we had paid for and book another night in Piombino. We were having lunch and saw the ship's funnel emitting smoke. We had to run for 1 km to get on the ferry with no warning.Guest review byMichaelAustralia - 10.0
We loved staying in this bed and breakfast place!
We loved staying in this bed and breakfast place! It is family owned business and they all do everything they can, above and beyond, so that their guests will feel comfortable and happy. The building was recently renovated and beautiful, the room was big and very comfortable, and the location could not be better! Few minutes from the beach, restaurants, and the promenade. We hope to come again.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States
