- From US$68.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,114 reviewsThe location is absolutely exquisite! Right at the seaside and the marina of Carloforte! The design and amenities are fantastic - very large double bed, even the sofa-bed was comfortable enough. Enormous bathroom with everything you need. The breakfast was also great - fresh fruits, great cheese and ham, freshly baked croissants and cakes. The staff speaks very good English and are really nice and helpful. They recommended a fantastic bistrot nearby with discount by the hotel for dinner with fresh local fish, traditional meals and the best tiramisu we ever tried in Sardinia.Guest review byAnaBulgaria
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 240 reviewsWhat a beautiful property! The host Michele was a pleasure to meet. He gave us all the information we could ask for regarding places to see, beaches, restaurants and bars. Michele was very generous in offering us a complimentary upgrade for our room and it was a gorgeous room. Could not fault our whole experience. One night was definitely not long enough to explore and further experience this island, the friendly locals and this great property. Would highly recommend Auquamadre Suites!Guest review byJulieAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 605 reviewsTHE place to stay in Carloforte. Modern, comfortable beds. Best of all the roof terrace for breakfast and aperitivo has great views.. lovely. Convenient parking right outside hotel or opposite. And it’s only a 3-5 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Front office staff Giuliano upgraded us to a junior suite - much appreciated. Nice large room with sea view and a bathtub. Roof top terrace staff Frederica is friendly and helpful. Good service overall.Guest review byCoreenSingapore

Everything we had hoped for and more!
Everything we had hoped for and more! Beautiful walkable historic village...delicious restaurants...gorgeous little beaches with water that is both crystal clear and turquoise blue at the same time...several easy day hike options... We travelled in late September and, although there were still plenty of tourists around, nothing felt crowded. The weather was still beach worthy and the water was perfect for swimming. Highly recommend La Bottega del Dano for a meal - a tiny restaurant, with only 6 tables, inspired by a passion for simple food done very very well.Guest review byElanaNew Zealand - 10.0
First time visitors to Carloforte need to know that the...
First time visitors to Carloforte need to know that the Delcomar ferry tickets do not guarantee you a spot on the ferry for the time you booked. Instead, the company encourages travelers to show up at least one hour before departure. When I learned this – only after I had booked our Calasetta to Carloforte and Carloforte to Portovesme tickets for the same day – I realized that an afternoon on the island would be too short if 2 hours of that time was spent in a ferry queue. So I rearranged our itinerary and booked a lovely vacation home for one night in Carloforte, as I also learned that we could use our departure ferry ticket the next morning. It turned out that we needed to arrive no more than 30 minutes prior to departure, due to the slower season of when we were visiting, but one night was still far too short to spend on the island. For our afternoon and evening on the island, we got to do a quick stop-off by the Saline Di Carloforte to look for flamingos (we saw some!); an incomplete, 45-minute hike along a cliffside trail from Sentiero Verde (near the upper parking for Cala Fico); a brief stop at the Belvedere di Capo Sandalo; a partial walking tour of Carloforte, preceeded by a much-needed break for gelato; and finally dinner. All of those activities could have used much more time and I would have been happy to spend several days on the island. I wish we had time to stop off at the southern end of the Saline where we might have gotten closer to the flamingos. I wish we had driven down to Cala Fico rather than just peaking down at it from the upper road. I wish there were restrooms at Capo Sandalo so we could have stayed longer. I wish we could have visited more shops and restaurants in Carloforte. And I wish we could have stayed some extra days to visit a beach or two. And that is just the basics. As a nature lover, I’d love to return to this island when the Eleonora’s falcons are nesting in the cliffs of the LIPU Nature Reserve.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Carloforte is such a charming and authentic small town!
Carloforte is such a charming and authentic small town! I feel like a little bit longer stay would be better for us (we stayed only 1 night), cause you can explore the island with rented electro-bikes. The walk around the town in the morning was refreshing and it gave us such a unique feeling about the serenity of the place! The whole family loved it!Guest review byАна БорисоваBulgaria
