We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vita. From the moment we arrived, the warm and friendly welcome set the tone for our visit. Our room was lovely, immaculately clean, with a very comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom equipped with all the amenities we could need. We had drinks and dinner at the hotel during our stay, and it truly exceeded expectations, top-notch food that was both beautifully presented and delicious. Breakfast each morning was a real highlight, offering a variety of tasty treats, including options for those who are gluten-free. We especially loved being able to enjoy breakfast outdoors, soaking up the morning sun and the scenic views. Parking was always easy, and the hotel is in a great location, just a short drive from many beautiful places of interest around Lake Garda. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Salò!

    Lovely location, easy access by road, bus or ferry. Great place to be based in order to explore other towns on Lake Garda. Very good ferry service. The old town of Sirmione is very picturesque, lots of restaurants and shops. Still very busy when we visited in early October and would be even more so in the summer months, quieter in the evenings when day trippers have gone. Nice walk around the peninsula and good view from the top of Scaligero Castle.

    Really easy to get to from Verona airport. Beautiful views of the Lake and quick to get to Sirmione which is stunning but can get really busy with tourists. Desenzano town is lovely, lots of eateries, pretty streets, friendly people and beautiful views. The market on a Tuesday was really good, nice to walk around. Many things eg the castle etc are closed on a Monday. I was there 2.5 days which felt enough for me. This included a day in Sirmione. I explored the main sites and then spent a day in Verona on the way home, well worth a day trip or visit.

    Having spent 311 nights in Limone you must understand that...

    Having spent 311 nights in Limone you must understand that we like it and the surrounding north Lake Garda area. Last year it was selected as the most superb flower decorated town in Italy and at the international competition won the top five 'petals' in it's category of small resorts. The winter population is 1200 people but usually busy with visitors from the end of April till mid October. The only criticism this year is that I detected a cigarette end on some steps! Standards are slipping but the Mayor, Il Sindaco, was quite distressed. If in doubt just go and you will not be disappointed.

    The only thing that let Salo down was the weather Rainy days outweighed the sunshine. The location of our hotel, shops ,restaurants and bars was spot on! Would definitely go back again but during the hotter months when the weather would be more predictable.Lake Garda absolutely gorgeous.

    The place is suitable for those who want a peaceful holiday with beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. Unfortunately, it’s not very practical if you’re looking for an active holiday. Getting around is complicated by the 20-minute drive up winding roads from the main road and also by the heavy traffic on the main road around the lake. Since we often went on trips to the mountains, next time we would choose accommodation in Riva or near Lago di Tenno.

Good facilities: great outdoor and indoor pools, availibility of a tennis court; spa (which unfortunately we didn’t have time to try.) Good location: only 10 mins walk to the riviera and access to the ferries. Really good restaurant.

    Beautiful Area - you do need a car or travelling around can become quite expensive, The walks around the lakeside are fantastic and the Glass restaurant at the lakeside was awesome - Take a Beautiful lakesside walk on the same path from San Felice over to Salo tor over to Portese

    First visited Moniga in late 80's and returned annually for...

    First visited Moniga in late 80's and returned annually for 11 years and stayed at Camping Fontanelle. After 26 years we took a trip of nostalgia to revisit as many places as we could in the 4 days we were there. Whilst there have been a lot of changes to what we remembered the town of Moniga is still as charming, to us, as it always was. Our 4 day break was a total success as it brought back many happy memories of the times we spent there when our children were young.

    Amazing location allowing you to travel to all parts of the Lake quite easily. The ferry's are worth utilising and travelling across the lake to Malecine and doing the cable car trip to the top of the mountain.

    Location was good, not too big but enough going on.

    Location was good, not too big but enough going on. Access to lake / beaches good, enough restaurants etc. We found a pizzeria just in the town which was lovely food, lovely roof terrace and away from the tourist restaurants by the lake. (Restaurante Pizzería Gatto Giallo) We didn’t have a car, so was reliant on ferries and buses, which meant some early starts, some long journey times and careful planning. Fast ferries need prebooking. Taxis from train station very expensive - so if you arrive to area by train pre-book a transfer!
