The hosts are a lovely friendly couple, a welcoming lady and an Italian gentleman. The location of the hotel is close to Lecco, half an hour from Como. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel. The cleanliness and comfort of the room was at the highest level. The view is magnificent day and night. We are planning to come next year.

Our room was spacious, with a balcony overlooking the pool, and equipped with modern furniture and a coffee machine. The staff were very kind and welcoming. A special thanks to Gaia, who guided us personally from the main road to the hotel a wonderful gesture. We also appreciated the thoughtful gift card. Overall, a very comfortable stay with excellent hospitality.

I was in Room 19 and it was fantastic. It has a little staircase up to a second level which has a small pull out sofa and tv. You can go outside from the top level and you look straight at the Duomo and little square below. The hotel and Lake Como are beautiful.

A Haven of Alpine Tranquillity

Surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Alps, Lake Como is a long, thin lake in the shape of an inverse ‘Y’. At its south-west corner is the beautiful town that it’s named after – Como. A short train ride from Milan, this is the starting point for several Lake Como cruises. If you take the funicular railway up to Brunate you get magnificent views of the lake and mountains, towards Switzerland just to the west.

The laidback and sophisticated way of life makes Como Lake popular with celebrities and several have homes in exclusive Bellagio, which is almost entirely surrounded by water. The views here are breathtaking, so it’s easy to see why of all the Lake Como hotels, Bellagio has the greatest concentration.

Just across the water are Lenno, Tremezzo and Menaggio, home to many exclusive lakefront hotels, many with swimming pools. You can actually swim in some parts of the lake, and the best beaches are found in the area near Gravedona in the north. Fanning out around a small harbour, this town offers some of the best Lake Como watersports.

At the lake’s south-eastern corner is Lecco, a town in the shadow of rugged mountains. Booking.com has a great range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Lecco and all the other main Lake Como towns.

    If you want to relax in nature and eat good quality food this is the perfect place for it. I took my family here as a surprise for my sister, she had no idea where we were going and… driving up the mountain made it even more fascinating! The atmosphere made us feel at home, the family who owns this place have a good heart and they will make sure you will be very well taken care of. I felt like I was in good hands all the time. The chalet was warm and cosy. We had a private garden with bbq, incredible views… and hiking paths literally at our doorstep. It’s great if you want your own space as a family/ group or couple. The attention to detail is tangible. It's true the drive up is a mountain road, but in my opinion it makes the experience very special, the views are breathtaking during the whole way. It's absolutely worth the drive! We will definitely come back.

    The hotel offers you a nice restaurant with a lake view and access to a private pier where you can take swimming equipment for free - and they have a good selection. You can also rent a good boat for a fair price, which I 100% recommend you to do. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant was good. Breakfasts were ok.     Bellagio is the most beautiful town on Lake Como! Many great restaurants and shopping. Great views of the lake. Ferry terminal that provides easy access to Ferry system. Now, having said that, the town is relatively small, so 2-3 days in Bellagio would be enough to explore just this town. If you are planning on exlporing the other towns on the Lake ( which you absolutely sbould do) Bellagio is a great "center" for that activity and then you should extend to 4-5 days. Best restaurants we visited, Gioia in the Hotel Du Lac..Suisse right on the main plaza, the restuarant in the Grand Hotel Belloni right in town ( check spelling) and Punta, with view of the lake.

    Lecco is in the south part of Lake Como, but from almost all the cities that we look around the Lake, apart from Bellagio, Lecco is the most picturesque because the mountains chain in the Background. Is simply breathtaking. The city itself has nice restaurants, stores and the walk around the lake is fantastic. Is served from a Train station the reaches Milan and the airports in few times, make it easy to depart and come from overseas. The ferry boats have a fantastic service, and people are nice and helpful. Loved Lecco!!!

    Varenna is a good spot to base yourself when coming to Lake...

    Varenna is a good spot to base yourself when coming to Lake Como. From here you can visit all the other towns, like Bellagio and Menaggio etc. Easy to get into via Ferry or Train. Nice size town, though it is becoming very crowded.

    I’d definetly book this place again, great views. It was fairly easy to get to and from, bit of a long journey but didn’t mind. The staff were great and the other people staying were nice to very international and friendly oh and I loved seeing peoples dogs but I’m not sure if they were staying there? The room was clean, beds comfortable, WiFi not sure it worked, breakfast good and fair price.

    It's a cute town with some lovely restaurants and easy enough to walk around for someone of average fitness. However if your purpose is to explore most of Lake Como, you will be limited to the slow ferry up to Bellagio / Varenna / Menaggio which takes 2-3hours. We had originally booked to stay in Varenna but cancelled due to works on the train line to get there. It still would have been a better option, or just staying in Como town to access the fast ferry. Most of the private boat tours also pick up from Como or from the "Golden Triangle" of the lake.

    Bellano is an amazing place to visit.

    Bellano is an amazing place to visit. Absolutely beautiful and so easy to get around on the ferry. Restaurants are close by aswell as supermarkets. TBH I could just sit and look out at the amazing views all day long!

    Tremezzo is a beautiful town to stay in on the coast of Lake Como. It’s very easy to take the ferry to many other towns as well as Bellagio, on the lake. It was wonderful to spend several nights there.
