United KingdomI was very impressed with this hotel. My main reason for choosing this was the location, very close to the station and also within walking distance of the historic centre. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The room was very nice and very clean. The breakfast was good and the breakfast staff are super friendly. I would definitely stay again.

Although it's a bit simple, enjoying an Italian style breakfast in the sunshine is also very pleasant and enjoyable. Firstly, Cristina is a great host and we started chatting before our stay where she recommended parking options. She was there to check us in as well and shared some excellent restaurant reservations as well as information about what to see in Mantova. As for the apartment, it was clean and spacious and as central as you can get so we were a 5 minute walk from most places. It was also very quiet so we had a good night's sleep. 2 nights / days in Mantova was perfect. Its a hidden gem. So rare to be able to go to places like this with no crowds, great food/culture and atmosphere. Didn't feel ripped off, prices were reasonable. The sites were as good as if not better than Venice minus the canals and crowds. Ducal palace and Te palace were amazing not just for the artwork but for the incredible decorated ceilings and walls. Lake tour is well worth doing. Mantegnas house disappointing. It is an easy town to walk around and see everything. The Duomo and of course the Basilica are stunning but also the very old circular church. We were lucky enough to have a walk around their library founded in 1770 and don’t miss the cute little theatre Bibiena where Mozart played.Guest review byRonaldAustralia
