Charming and laidback- a great place to relax and chill. Enjoyed impromptu wine tasting at Fenech, and appreciated being shown around the island in an Ape calessino ( 3 wheeled motorbike) ecotour - highly recommended!Guest review byMaryAustralia - 10.0

While we walked a bit around the town, and bought some lovely souvenirs from a local shop, we did not have enough time to see the beach, take a hike, or use the local bus to see other parts of the island. I felt I could have easily stayed for several days, if the weather conditions had been better. It is a very green island that beckons to be explored!Guest review byMaggieUnited States - 8.0

Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to choose from. There was one clothes shop, one grocery shop and one tabbachi. If you don’t have a car, ferry, taxi or Citi bus is the only way to get about - or hiking of course. The bus I think is cheapest but we didn’t use it because we were mostly island hopping. 10 minute ride on ferry to Santa Marina Salina seemed expensive for the trip but I think it gets more expensive at certain popular times of the day. This is a quieter, more remote place to do the hopping (with the extra 10 min journey always tagged on the end from Santa Marina) so if you want a little bit more buzz choose one of the other islands or Santa Marina. Personally, we liked the vibe on Vulcano and loved Stromboli. (Stromboli is probably not the best base for island hopping though as it is the furthest one away). Lipari is big and bustling and didn’t feel like island-life but if you like that sort of thing, it’s a great base. On the whole we enjoyed our choice of base at Rinella. It was a good ‘getaway from it all’ place, where we were forced to do extremely little- when not venturing.Guest review byLorraineUnited Kingdom - 4.0
My review of Lingua has nothing to do with the Hotel Borgo...
My review of Lingua has nothing to do with the Hotel Borgo di Mare where we stayed. It is strictly limited to the sea front part of the village where restaurant and various shops are located. Although we came in the second part of June, the summer vacation season had barely started with most of the restaurant not yet fully ready, offering partial services, like no pizza even if already on the menu. We had to manage our expectations on a case-by-case basis. But altogether we found the offering at the time very basic (range of choices), poorly executed and pricy (meaning high season prices)Guest review byFrancoisPortugal - 10.0
Salina is one of the most beautiful Aeolian Islands.
Salina is one of the most beautiful Aeolian Islands. It is well reputed for Malvasia wine and capers. The scenery is fantastic and the island offers good possibilities for a nice holiday. There are good walking opportunities, a reliable bus service, great cafes and restaurants and some nice shops.Guest review byBirgit SchunkeGermany - 10.0

Great little village with lots of delicious restaurants ad shops and galleries. Lots of fruit trees and a really cute beach (Spiaggia dello Scario). The village has a small supermarket, and has very good access to the rest of the island via the bus system, or by hiring a car or scooter at the various hire companies in the village.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

It’s simply wonderful - just the right balance of leisure, shops, restaurants, not too overcrowded (early September) so strolling around is very pleasant. Lots of trips and activities, friendly people. This is my second visit and I would highly recommend itGuest review byGailItaly - 10.0
We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month!
We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month! It was a quiet, peaceful town, with a small main street with a handful of shops, and maybe three restaurants, and more of a takeout cafe. We had excellent, leisurely meals at two of the restaurants, and really enjoyed the staff at both. We walked down to the beach one day, and loved it, but it was otherwise a lazy few days in a spectacularly beautiful place with very pleasant people. Malfa is a treasure!Guest review byShelbyUnited States
