- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 342 reviewsHotel EROS is the hotel where we experienced one the best customer service! Exceptional staff, sensitive attitude towards the guest, attention to details! The hotel offers a free transfer, which is very convenient, upon check-in, we were immediately given a tour of the hotel and provided with full information about the hotel, beaches, facilities,, excursions, car rental, etc. The hotel has an incredible location - at the foot of a breathing volcano, a stone's throw from the beach where you get the opportunity to swim in cold and warm waters due to the volcanic gases that come to the surface (but be careful - the hot outflows can be hot), the incredible color of the water - turquoise, black volcanic sand, and volcano that looks at you and on the slopes of which, if you look closely, you can see a heart! I highly recommend renting a car and driving around the island and enjoy breathtaking views (one of them is Capo Grillo) from which, as someone wrote in the reviews, you can die! Delicious food is a separate great story. The hotel has its own beach and all the necessary equipment - everything is nearby. There is a nice pool. A large selection of breakfasts, very tasty. The aesthetics of the hotel deserve a special word - attention to detail - majolica tiles, a beautiful lobby, a lot of greenery on the hotel territory - everything makes the hotel cozy and a place where you want to return. Thank you for the incredible emotions!Guest review byOKSANAUkraine
- From US$81.74 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 451 reviewsFairly spartan in terms of amenities, but nevertheless just what we were looking for: that retro Italian seaside vibe. Staff were excellent. Super convenient for the volcano hike, mud baths and hot bubbling sea (all officially closed when we visited though that didn't seem to stop people sneaking in (or up) under cover of darkness. October is lowish season but the Faraglione bar/restaurant was buzzing throughout the day and really came alive in the evening. Wonderful atmosphere.Guest review bySimonItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 223 reviewsBecause of a "plumbing issue" we were rebooked to "Mari del Sud" Resort. From the outside it looked like the neighbouring Hotel Garden has shut down forever. So we got a free Upgrade, thank you for that. Special thanks to the extremely lovely and helpful staff at Mari del Sud, who made us enjoy our stay even more: Valentina, another young gentlemen whose name i didnt catch unfortunately but who was very helpful arranging a boattour and Ygoro.Guest review byStefanAustria
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 104 reviewsWe were very surprised by the quality of the furnishings, particularly the bathroom, which was brand-new and comfortable. Allhough we chose the smallest room, it was big enough to fit three people comfortably. The balcony was great for an evening chill. After seing the rest of the harbour area we agreed that the location couldn't be better. The owner responded flexibly and was very helpful with storing the luggage before the check-in.Guest review byJoannaPoland

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 387 reviewsExcellent location: on the way to the crater and far away from the mud baths (so no unpleasant smell). Very clean place. WiFi and airco worked perfectly. Mini fridge available in the room. Very nice and welcoming host. Would definitely recommend!Guest review byRADABelgium

We found the nicest hotel; Sables Noir; they had a spa and a private beach. We hired Bicycles from the Hotel (better than the hire companies), by the hour or half day or whole day and the Hotel staff were all, from top to bottom, an amazing, cohesive and energetic team ; (even though it was end of season.) Volcano is beautiful but very small so shorter stays and/ or home cooking is recommended as the choice of GOOD restaurants is limited. We took a private boat to Lipari for the evening, which was fabulous and something different.Guest review byLucyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Incredible wee island.
Incredible wee island. Loved that you could cycle everywhere easily, there were lots of mini adventures to be had e.g. Vulcanello crater, snokelling, Monte Saraceno, Capo Grillo viewpoint & of course the Vulcano crater hike. Lots of great places to eat, cute, off the beaten track feel. We loved how quiet everywhere was in October.Guest review bykatherineUnited Kingdom - 10.0
I love Volcano.
I love Volcano. The relaxed, laid-back atmosphere has brought me back half a dozen times and it never fails to delight. Sadly Maurizio's restaurant is no longer in operation but there are still some other places to eat that don't disappoint. Walking up the volcano is always fun, though they have restricted access to the zone of the fumaroles now, and the mud-pools have been closed completely. I was told this is because they have got too hot. We also went to visit the cat colony who are situated on Vulcanello, and was pleased to see that they have been moved to more comfortable quarters. Swimming in the sea - especially where it's sprinkled with hot bubbles - is always a delight. The Spiaggia Nera (black-sand beach) has not hot bubbles but is really pleasant. My only gripe with Vulcano (and the whole of Sicily) is that there is too much litter everywhere. It could really do with a good clean-up. The friendly, relaxed people go a long way towards making up for it ... maybe if they weren't so relaxed they would organise some clean-ups!Guest review byWendy TeasdillUnited Kingdom
