Petra Premium is centrally located and a 2 minute walk to restaurants, mini marts, souvenir shops, etc. and 15 minutes walk or a 3 minute drive to the Petra archeological park. Our room was spacious and incredibly clean with a little balcony and view of the hills. Bathroom is compact but has a great shower that was ideal after hiking in and out of Petra. Breakfast has plenty of options for vegetarians (delicious moutabal, yoghurt), a good selection for vegans, and serves eggs and cold meats too. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and go out of their way to make guests welcome. Everyone in the tourist industry in Wadi Musa is going through difficult times due to the massive reduction and tourists the region, so supporting this local business the hotel is I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Peter and Jordan

Thank you to the lovely professional staff (concierge, reception, manager, restaurant waiters) for your warm and exceptional hospitality! Excellent location right across the street from the Petra entrance gate. Rooms are super clean, modern, AC working very well and a nice touch is the Nespresso machine. Amazing breakfast offered, especially the assortment of danish+pastries. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a comfortable modern hotel while visiting Petra! Look forward to coming back!

If you are looking for natural beauty, excellent hospitality and peace, Dana Horizon Hotel is the place you need. The location is hidden from the outside world, but it was really easy to find it, and the road is in great condition too. Dinner was amazing, Musa and his mother did a superb job. We had breakfast too, which we enjoyed just as much as dinner. The portions were so big, we couldn't even finish it. Overall, amazing experience, lot of hiking spots around, everyone should visit.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights. After the first night in the twin room with a mountain view (the one we booked), we got an upgrade to a king room with a mountain view which we highly appreciated. This room was fabulous -tidy, spacious, the fridge, the tea kettle and the best view ever. We watched the sunrise and the sunset from our private balcony. The beds were comfortable to have a good quality sleep. The new hotel is owned by the family and all the members work together to take care of it. Upon arrival we were introduced to most of them. The family are sociable, helpful, ready to assist if you need anything. Mother (um Sohip -I'm not sure if I have written the name correctly) cooks tasty dinners with vegetables and olives from their own garden and the orchard. The surroundings are very well taken care of - the olive trees, roses, cactuses. The hotel owners have two dogs (we saw just one), very friendly cats (which will not bother you if you are not a cat person, though), two beautiful horses. During our stay we took a day trip to Wadi Ghuweir (highly recommended!!!) , an hour's drive from the hotel to Wadi Ghuweir parking lot, explored the village of Dana.

    Perfectly clean, cozy and comfortable. The breakfast is really tasty. And it'only 4 min with a car to Petra visitor's center and 5' walking to the city center. The big star however goes to the staff. The guy was so helpful, so accurate with all recommendations! He helped us to prepare a plan to visit most of Petra giving the little time we had. He also arranged a lunch boxes for all of us for Petra visit, as a compliment. We were a group of 11 and felt in secure hands while with him!

    We booked a tent without airconditioning but it didn't get too hot or cold in the tents. The place itself looks fantastic and the people make you feel like a part of the community. The dinner was also really good and sitting next to the firepit at night with a cup of tea while the stars are shining is just perfect. The staff is very friendly and will gladly answer any questions you have about the life in Jordan.

    My main reason for booking Petra Palace Hotel was perfect combination of location and price. It takes almost 10mins to get from the property to the main entrance of Petra and on the way there are few shops (grocery and souvenirs) as well as restaurants with local food.     Probably my rating or comment is not suitable for every travelers as foreigner but living in Jordan for long time. Definitely, I need 5 star hotels in Dead Sea or Aqaba to refresh myself and my family regularly. But Dana is a great place to also have regular visit as it is located within 2.5 hours range from my home in Amman, and to experience this great nature in reasonable expense. After over 10 years of staying in this country, as a person like to sleep under the millions of stars, Dana is most frequently visited location at the recent years of my life in Jordan.

    we have encountered fraudulent behavior on the part of the accommodation operator. after making the reservation via "booking.com" we arrived to the location - meeting with the resort representative "Ahmad" we were taken to another camp resort ( very old, nor matching the pictures during the booking, empty ) being told that the other "camp" is full... but 1 room could still be found - as long as we're happy to pay double price. We accepted as we're in the middle of desert. But this was clearly deliberate fraudulent conduct. Our recommendation would be for Booking.com not to keep contractual relationship with such accommodation providers.

    The village has been abandoned and then rebuilt as a hotel. It sits above a valley and has a stunning view that goes all the way to the Dead Sea. The very friendly Musaad made sure that everyone felt welcome and helped. He also set up a guide for our trip to the nearby Sela' fortress, which is a very interesting Nabataean site. A beautiful spot away from the crowds of tourists, a chance to see the real Jordan.

    The reserve is beautiful.

    The reserve is beautiful. We spent 3 days hiking and hardly saw any other people. Amazing colors and sweeping vistas. Definitely go with a knowledgeable guide to get the best experience. Stay at the Jabal Dana Hotel for great views and amazing food.

    Petra is always a magical place in your imagination.

    Petra is always a magical place in your imagination. However it does not compare to the real thing! No matter how vivid your imagination! You need at least two whole days if not three to really enjoy the sights of Petra. We stayed a short distance away from the visitor center closer to the town centre where there are lovely restaurants and a more local vibe. It's better to take it easier and absorb the local culture and ancient history.

    Pay attention to the weather conditions depending on the time of year. We had to abandon the hike due to heavy rain 3 days before (end of February/beginning of March). Our host recommended doing this hike after March 15 and ideally in May.

    Great location right next to little Petra and 5 minutes from Petra. Suggest you take a car to the top (Rear) of Petra and enter near the monastery then walk down hill towards the entrance as it is a big day of walking. Hotel has lovely staff and very helpful. Every night was a large outdoor fire with tea service and music while the hills had lights on them for great photos. Suggest spending two nights in this hotel min maybe 3-4 nights to experience all the surround areas.
