- From US$93.34 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,548 reviewsThe breakfast was fantastic and the staff were so nice, helpful and friendly. The location is a relatively short walk from Nagoya station (~15 mins) with a suitcase. Other train lines and buses are also walking distance as well. The Nagoya castle is also walking distance though slightly further (~25 mins) with a casual walk. Their are book stores, excellent food, a massage parlour and 7 elevens close by. A Donxi is also a quick(~ 10mins) walk as well. The river on one side is beautiful and relaxing to watching while eating breakfast and their are canoe rides on offer close by as well. Their are complementary toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving sticks and creams and a vending machines for drinks. The ATMs unfortunately weren't working when I was there but not a big inconvenience as their was one 5 mins away as well. Overall the rooms are spectacularly clean and though I spoke very little to no Japanese, the staff everyone included, were exceptionally kind and helpful and friendly to me. Would definitely be staying here in my next visit to Nagoya and would also recommend others to try it as well. For the price it's a steal.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom
- From US$97.72 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 743 reviewsWe spent a night at N Hotel and it was an amazing experience! The moment you enter the hotel and take the elevator to the reception floor, you are greeted by the welcoming staff. After receiving free drinks from a vending machine, we made it to our room on the 5th floor. The photos of the room speak for themselves. The room looks beautiful, elegant, and spacious! The king-sized bed is a joy and the view from the window was great! Everything felt new and aesthetically pleasing in the room. The room comes with a number of tools, a tablet, which with you can order breakfast and different services. It also has a water dispenser, a big TV with a soundbar, different options for lighting, and a secret cabinet which opens from both the outside and inside, so the staff can serve your breakfast inside without entering the room. The bathroom is amazing with lots of amenities and the hot tub is fantastic.Guest review byDánielHungary
- From US$166.20 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 562 reviewsLoved our comfy family room with tatami area and futons. The sento (public bath) was wonderful: really nice natural rock style bath and lovely washing areas. The sento is well used by guests including kids so definitely family friendly. This hotel has so many extras: free late night ramen service (21:30-23:00), free ice cream after bath, free manga library in the lounge. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and the chef at breakfast was especially nice. What a great stay.Guest review byCharlesAustralia

The staff were exceedingly professional, helpful, and friendly. We also were able to book our day trip tickets to legoland, which was super helpful. There's a public onsen for both men and women segregated away from each other. They also have optional smoking rooms upon request. Will definitely stay with the vessel hotel again.Guest review byMuratAustralia

Enjoyed our side trip to inuyama castle - easy to get to by local train. Also a good trip to Atsuta Jingu Shrine. If you take a train on the Meitetsu Nagoya main line and get off at Jingumae station, an entrance to the shrine is just across the road from the station. (Main road, but there are pedestrian crossings). Didn't leave much time to explore Nagoya itself. Did get to Osu mall, which was quite interesting, but a little over-hyped we thought. Area round station itself was good compared with many cities - much more salubrious and more like being in a reasonably upmarket commercial/shopping area. Could certainly have happily spent another full day in Nagoya if our schedule had allowed.Guest review byGaryNew Zealand - 10.0
One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns.
One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns. If you are into ceramics it's a brilliant place to visit. If you're not, it's a lovely, relaxed town with nice walks and good places to eat. Very close to Nagoya airport. There is a free shuttle bus into Tokoname or use the station. Home of the lucky waving cat - Maneki Neko!Guest review byCerysUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A lovely and medium-sized city, although there are not many scenic spots within the city, it is a wonderful stopover place for one night. It has a beautiful city park (豐橋公園) with pretty 500 Sakura trees. You may go visiting nearby famous temple 豐川稻荷 (妙嚴寺) and transfer to the scenic railroad branch line JR飯田線.Guest review byMAOTaiwan - 8.0

I was here 6 years ago and just recently came back. If you’re looking for the one piece thousand sunny boat, it is no longer there. It was a surprise delight when we first came here there is a conservation of the local eagles and you see them flying freely like a typical neighbor.Guest review byJashna - Jan dela CruzUnited States - 10.0

I came to see some historical sites in the local area.
I came to see some historical sites in the local area. One of them was Meiji-mura, which is located next to a lake, off the beaten path. The park contains a large collection of historical buildings relocated from around Japan, it's a very picturesque facility with lots of trees and the buildings are well maintained. The park is rather hilly, so it might be a challenge for anyone who has mobility issues, although it has train and bus service to help get from one end to the other. I happened to go on a weekday, and several of the restaurants were closed and the upper-level train wasn't running; anyone hoping to spend a day when everything is open and operating should verify in advance, but might want to plan to go on a weekend. My car navigation system delivered me to the north entrance (at the top of the photo of the map), which seemed to be a lesser used entrance; that said, I didn't make it to the other end of the park to see what was down there. As shown in one of the photos, the facility does a better job than most tourist sites in Japan of being multilingual, since the signs that explain each building are also in English, Korean, and Chinese.Guest review byTheodoreJapan - 10.0

Such a beautiful city. Surrounding burbs Awesome!
Such a beautiful city. Surrounding burbs Awesome! Put like this. Prada, Gucci, Lois Vitton, Armani, the list long. Why go to hectic Tokyo when Nagoya offers all the rich city life without the intensity of Tokyo. I was highly impressed. I have travelled a great deal. I liked this city better than New York, Chicago, Atlanta, LA. So beautiful, easy to navigate, wonderful to walk around. Surrounding burbs so beautiful! One last thought, all the US cities listed are dirty, trash laden, crime filled destinations. New York smells like a sewer, scaffolding that NEVER ENDS, piles of trash at night, a nighmare. I don't see this in Japan.Guest review bykoushirouJapan - 10.0

Toyohashi is only about an hour from Nagoya where we live, and yet most people we know have never been there! It's great for a weekend break or even a day trip. We enjoyed visiting a restored house from 1800 years ago, the castle, a plum orchard, the city hall exhibition of the unusual handheld firework made from a bamboo tree, and various other places. Our first visit was for two night, and then we went back for a day trip. We'll probably go again for the Natural History Museum a little way past Toyohashi.Guest review byStephen GosdenUnited Kingdom
