The room was so spacious, a definite “wow” when in Japan! Front Office staff was very helpful, friendly and had good command of english, thank you very much. The hotel was walking distance to the okonomiyaki restos, etc and the station. Concierge was very friendly and upbeat, much appreciated.

In this hotel, you remove your shoes when you get in, which gives an immediate feeling of coziness. The hodel has state of the art facilities (wellness area, with Sauna -with TV inside :-), Onsen, and multiple baths on a roof top - this was really super cool). The hotel offers a lot of free goodies, such as ramen in the restaurant at night, ice-cream, etc.. The room was super clean, super well equipped, I slept like a baby. The hotel was 10 min. walk from the JR station, and 10 min. walk to the castle. I would strongly recommend this address, and would not hesitate to go back theer again myself.

Located right across the train station, also super close to the port, where you can take the ferry to the island. Seemed to be newly renovated a month ago, facilities are in very good condition, the sharing space is decent as well (they provided free ice cream!). The onsen experience offered by the hotel is superb. Enjoyed the stay very much

Set within a former kimono merchant’s home in Kurashiki’s stunning historical quarter, Yoruya offers a private and quietly luxurious stay. The team behind this ryokan preserved the building’s century-old structure while introducing clean lines, soft textures, and a sense of modern calm. With just a few rooms, an intimate dining experience, and crafted details throughout, it feels more like a private retreat than a hotel. Something that will linger with you for a long time.

Well this is some hotel !!! Right in the heart of the station , easy to get to but slightly tricky to find first time in such a huge station ! The staff are brilliant and we should have gone for a bigger room as ours was ok and as we had a big tour trip the next day we stuck as we were and it was fine. The breakfasts were sensational and happy hour was brilliant….it was 3 pm to 7 pm and all free drinks and snacks ! Lovely location, great funny staff and all brilliant !!!

We loved our stay at Kiro and would have enjoyed a longer visit. The hotel is wonderful from a design point of view. The rooms are compact but extremely well appointed, well designed and super comfortable. The lobby includes a nice coffee bar and a small selection of custom designed items for sale (prints, totes, and the wonderful shampoo and soap provided in the rooms). The robes provided are dreamy soft and chic! The bar and dining area upstairs is fantastic, as is the kitchen area where it's possible to prepare and eat your own food. A couple of washing machines and tumble dryers are available on the top floor as well. The hotel is very well located for walking around Hiroshima's main attractions as well as lively shopping and dining venues. Would definitely recommend and also return for a second stay!

Checkin went very smoothly, I accidentally booked for only 1 person but it was all resolved! I had to pay an additional ~7K JPY for two nights + breakfast. It was also raining, and the hotel offered free umbrella rental which was great. The rooms were nice and tidy with GREAT views. There were free coffee and tea + snacks during the day, and there were also a lot of options for the breakfast buffet. That said, you really can't beat the location. It was within walking distance to everywhere you need to go within Hiroshima. If you are planning to go to Miyajima Island though, it is quite the trip to go to the JR ferry terminal (~1hr) so keep that in mind.

The hotel is located right in the centre of the city only a short walk away from the A bomb dome and right across from a tram station that takes you directly to Hiroshima station (even then it’s an easy quick walk to get there, too). The bread provided for breakfast is delicious and the beds are some of the most comfortable I’ve slept in!

It isn’t a typical tourist destination from my understanding but the gardens by night are absolutely stunning. The casual is also beautiful and I’m sad to have missed the pottery class. Food and bars also exceptional - everybody is particularly friendly, and perhaps less used to accommodating tourists. Coffee: Empire coffee roasters. Friendly service and outstanding coffee. Food: Hidaya Yanigamachi. Grill your own delicious meat. Drink: ichigin. Super friendly and will involve you in conversations even if you don’t speak Japanese.

We stayed here rather than on Naoshima island and took the short ferry across to the island. When we planned our trip, I had not factored in that many of the museums on the island were closed on a Monday and that some had to be booked for the Sunday. The benefit is that the onsen next to the Uno hotel is wonderful. You can be outside in one of the outside baths and at night gaze at the stars. We had a massage and a Japanese meal in the onsen and ambled happily back to the hotel. We delayed our planned departure to go the next morning after we had checked out of the hotel. We did not really explore the town itself but had a lovely meal in a restaurant close to the ferry building, overlooking the park and shopped in the big stores near the station.

Didn't explore much beyond the Peace Memorial Park, the Vitims memorial (so quiet and thought provoking, they have used the sound of water very well) and some nearby streets as only here for an afternoon and a morning. It certainly makes you question why atomic bombs were ever developed and affirms that they should never be used again. Seeing trees that survived the bomb, and listening to an 'in utero' survivor was moving too. On a happier note the okonomyaki is very much recommended. So easy to get around using trams.
