Fukuoka is definitely a gem for travellers - from city area to country sides. Locals are friendly and the attractions I visited were wholesome and eye opening. The food especially ramen was good. Transportation-wise, it is fairly easy to navigate around Fukuoka, we have the bus / train / JRs / even walking.
