One of the best hotels we ever had on our trips in many different countries! Room was spacious, very clean and the view from our window was spectacular. Staff was very professional, helpful and super nice. I wish every hotel could have such a great staff as this one! Dinner and breakfast were both excellent! We can only recommend this place.

The atmosphere and location were excellent, the room was massive with the most comfortable beds of our trip, and the food was delicious. The service was fantastic, we had an amazing stay.

The room was big for Japan measures, breakfasts were great, tea bags, bath salts, etc. at the reception, kind personal and the place was great - a minute to ferry to Itsukishima shrine. Also it was pretty close from the JR station Miyajimaguchi - cca 5 mins of walking.

Most visitors would probably spend the day on the marvelous Itsukushima island, but there is no accommodation close to the station/ferry boat in Miyajima. This hotel is one of the closest to the boats which is an essential asset. Walking to the ferry boat is possible, it takes roughly 15 min, but the sidewalk is very narrow and the traffic intense... The hotel has an excellent solution : a shuttle van! Attention: the name on the van says "Route Inn", not Grandviro. Cherry on the cake: if you wait for this van at the hotel, just take place in their nice waiting corner facing the bay, with free beverages. Bravo! Very clean room. The bed is perfect as is the bathroom/shower/bathtub. Perfect lift too. There is a 7-Eleven on the other side of the street at the traffic lights and a good udon noodles restaurant a 10 min stroll away heading to the station.

It was our second time staying here and we were pleased to be here the same as the first time. Definitely a good decision to have an overnight at Miyajima and support local family business. Everything felt very "home-like". Although the building is not new and onsen that they have is far from real onsen at other ryokan type hotels, to even have this option is very nice. Breakfast is very simple, but it is definitely enough. They even provide beer and ice cream for extra payment on the spot, you don't need to go all the way to Family mart. Location is very convenient for one night-stayers. They even prepare a curry for dinner. I cannot express the level of kindness of the owner and the cozy feeling during our stay. This is a true Japanese experience. Hopefully, the owner will accept our group next year as well :)
