- From $437 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 154 reviewsJambo, Hands down the trip of a life time! At the heart of the trip is the amazing Fig Tree Camp. The camp is surrounded by wildlife. Hippos and baboons can be seen from the safety of your riverside tent. Make sure to bring a set of ear plugs as the hippos are extremely loud during twilight hours. Hyena can also be heard at night time with their signature ‘whoo up’ sounds. The camp is situated on the Talek River which makes it situated in the heart of the habitat of local wildlife. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, food is amazing and the pool is handy in between game drives. The bar area is a fantastic place to talk to other visitors about your experiences while enjoying coffee or a bottle of Tusker or Two, be sure to try a cocktail made by the Maasai Maras number one mixologist Gideon and his assistants. Where to start with the game drives. This has to be hands down the most enjoyable experience I have ever had. A four day game drive gave me the opportunity to see the ‘Big Five’ and everything else the Maasai Mara had to offer. The highlight of the trip has to be watching a large male Lion steal a kill from a clan of Hyena at sunrise. I was also fortunate enough to see three week old Lion cubs and four separate Leopards. A lioness was also chased into the bush by a herd of elephants and unbeknown, a Black Rhino came hurtling out of the bush. My guide and guardian Johnathan was on point everyday and knew where to find the local wildlife. I also had the opportunity to visit a Maasai Village and experience the culture of the legendary Maasai Warriors. Do not hesitate to book your visit to the Maasai Mara and the Fig Tree Camp Asante❤️ JayGuest review byJay HardingUnited Kingdom

Food is well presented and tasty however it is a bit salty.
Food is well presented and tasty however it is a bit salty. If there is tea pots, and some sweets the stay would be more relaxing. Breakfast and Lunch box we had for game drive was excellent with tasty Rosemary chicken roast. There you can find many animals during your stay in Kobe Mara, so you may feel as if you are staying in the park. What makes this camp outstanding is absolutely hospitality of the staffs. We definitely recommend this camp and we like to come back again soon.Guest review byAkiJapan - 8.0
Purity and Alex were great guides!
Purity and Alex were great guides! We had one extended game drive and we were able to see everything in just one day! The place was peaceful and nice. During July, it may get a little cold inside the tents… cleanness was immaculate!Guest review byVeronicaParaguay - 10.0

its amazing especially if your an animal lover. Its a must see for sure. make sure to leave early morning than late as most of the animals are more active during the day. we were blessed to see all the big5 and all thanks goes to our Guide Mr Peter.Guest review byMendesUnited Arab Emirates - 8.0
Mara Explorer Tented camp is awesome.
Mara Explorer Tented camp is awesome. The food was epic, the game drives were excellent and our guide was superb. One issue though is when booking all Inclusive we assumed this was all we would need to pay as this stated game drives included but it doesn’t include park fees which are an additional 100 USD per person per day so we were stuck with an extra USD 600 which we had not budgeted for. Make sure you have the means to pay the park fees in addition to any other costs. This does make it much more expensive. A cheaper alternative is the Nairobi National Park.Guest review bySwordsieDxBUnited Arab Emirates - 8.0
Keekorok is in fabulous location.
Keekorok is in fabulous location. Especially for Game Drive just outside of camp you Will see many animals. Exactly outside of your room you can walk around and enjoy with Garden and swimming pool and walking toward the Hippo pool takes 5 minutes. Staff were excellent. Sometimes during the day the power went out. And another things which I have to mention the quality of food can be much better. If you pay for full board Drinks not included even water.Guest review byPeyman parkhooIran - 10.0
Great place, lots of animals, beautiful landscapes.
Great place, lots of animals, beautiful landscapes. Pity that the guides from some travel agencies are not respecting the large carnivores (lions, cheetah) and come too close. Also some guides are allowing tourists to sit on the roof of the jeep, which is forbidden as it is frightening animals.Guest review byAnneBelgium - 10.0

The national park is really beautiful. went to safari for three days and could get almost all the Animals. Missed Migartion as the Zebras were reluctant to cross the river though they have gone down few times and came up again. our driver and vehicle were very good. He had taken extra efforts to show us all the animals in Vantage points. The double horned Rhino sighting was memorable. That was the only time when we spotted a Rhino in the whole 10 days trip to four national parks. The Animals were found to be very healthy. We were not lucky enough to spot any Chasing and hunting scenes. The National Park roads are good though little dusty. Had packed lunch from the camp.Guest review byAniNarlzzNetherlands - 6.0
Beautiful ensemble. Central location in Maasai Mara.
Beautiful ensemble. Central location in Maasai Mara. About 1 hour to Mara River. The hotel needs a general renovation and is too expensive for what it is offering. Poor breakfast and coffee and only fair dinner.Guest review byGunterGermany - 10.0
Fig Tree safari camp is in an amazing location!
Fig Tree safari camp is in an amazing location! The entire camp is surrounded by a river that you look out at from your room, complete with hippos and other wildlife. The camp is very safe with Maasai men patrolling the park all night. They also walk you to your tent after dark. There is a beautiful pool, campfire, dining room. It’s worth the drive!Guest review byLindaUnited States - 10.0

Breathtaking experience. If you love nature and want to connect with it, this is the palace to visit. Very easy to get around. And see lots of wild animals especially the lion which could be seen easily in this reserve and not seen easily in the other game parks.Guest review byJulie
