Wonderful mysterious cool green grassy grave mounds EVERYWHERE, rich history everywhere, compact city, beautiful replica bridge, excellent and well-appointed and maintained museums, easy access from/to Busan, kinda like Nara and areas around Nara in vibe. Highly recommended!Guest review byAKEMI - 10.0

This is a very small town by Korean standards and not frequented by foreign travellers. Prepare to be noticed if you are visibly non-Korean. The people are very friendly though and some people wanted to come and ask us why we had chosen to come to Andong given its small size. Andong has a couple of nice traditional villages where you can see the traditional way of living in Korea. The area is also known for soju production and we had some really good soju there. The food was good, you should especially try jjimdak when in Andong. The bakery Mammoth is also worth visiting. Our experience was that most people don't speak fluent English there, so I would recommend having a translating app if you don't speak or write Korean. I would recommend Andong as a destination, especially if you are looking to escape the big cities for something more relaxed.Guest review byLys de la neigeFinland - 6.0

Pohang is a big Port and Steel making town, so not so many tourist activities. Pohang Jukdo Market is a big fish and general market. Yeongildae Beach is lively with clean sound, music at night and many new bars and restaurants. The Skywalk is a fun sculpture walking platform to visit and photograph. Not so many travelers so more opportunity to meet friendly Koreans.Guest review byJeremyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The heat in July is horrible, but the place is really beautiful. There are plenty of temples, royal tombs, traditional villages and natural parks (with easy treks) to visit. Great atmosphere, popular with young local couples.Guest review byEugenioNetherlands - 10.0

I don't think that there's anything out there, as I was strictly there for business, but when it comes to the food, it is fantastic. Plus, if you're looking to go budget friendly with your purchases, then Pohang will be kind to you, at least when it comes to food.Guest review byMarvinJapan - 8.0

It is recommended to take a day tour from Busan, but most day tours do not include the museum which is exceptional and really worth it. Gyeongju was kind of empty when we went, so it felt a little too quiet. If we go again we will opt for the day trip, however since we stayed 2 nights, we could see the museum and have dinner at an exceptional place which was highly rated for Korean food (again, which is not possible on a day trip as the buses head back to Busan in the evening).Guest review byDevyaniIndia - 6.0

This city has an interesting food streets area (east end) which is lovely for a dinner out. It has a few historic bits and pieces to see in the this part of town, plus an interesting market and mural village. It is, of course, the stop off place for Hahoe Folk Village. Be warned that the Express Bus Terminal is located 5Km from the centre so you'll need to catch a city centre bus into town. The train station is also located here. Note that the Geongjin line train station, however, is located in the eastern part of the city, near the food streets. Travelling on the local buses can be confusing as they run on a loop and journeys go on forever. Catching a taxi is well worth it to save on bus aggravation!Guest review byJaneUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Spent 5 nights.
Spent 5 nights. Didn’t do a lot except relaxing most of the time. Trip to the beach just about every day. Industrial steelworks city so maybe not that scenic in places but still interesting. Space Walk is worth going to. Get a great view and it is an experience climbing it.Guest review byGavJPAustralia
