Rooms were clean and spacious Beach is awesome. The views are spectacular. The staff was friendly and efficient and went the extra mile to make the guests comfortable Will return again soon. These hopper staff who stood out are Lojanan and Suthagaran in house keeping. Batticaloa was warm and humid, but that is more than made up for by its breathtaking beauty and abundant seafood. The town is exceptionally clean, surrounded by water, and radiates a serene charm. Kalkudah is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka! The water here has an amazing emerald colour and it is very clean, transparent. It is a very long and beautiful sandy beach with a free natural spirit, with hardly anyone around. We enjoyed swimming almost all the day! No tourist attractions but some restaurants like Laya Waves are and Swiss Cafe on the shore are the options. Kalkudah works fine for yoga, meditation, walking along, etc. There are some cows and their manure in some spots, but it is better than plastic garbage. Some days the waves were bigger than Passikuda, but no corals on Kalkudah. Comparing to Passikuda we liked Kalkudah much better. Passikuda is over crowded with a long chain of luxury hotels and is not as beautiful. Anyway if anyone is coming with children Passikuda has shallow waters, as well as some tourists attractions. In any case, on Kalkudah one can dig a hole in the sand for children, where the ocean water will come, while making the natural baths that way.Guest review byPolinaSri Lanka - 10.0

I think the main reason to go to Pasikuda is for the beach which is beautiful, with white sand and clear water, and where it is safe to swim.
