This fantastic hotel is set in the middle of nature. If you like seeing and hearing birds, then this place is great, with over 25 species in 1 night stay. The room was large, the linens were high quality, and it was all very clean. We had a kettle for making coffee, good AC, and fan. We had a room with a great view over the garden towards the lake. The owner, Chandana, was very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is very well decorated and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting to watch the wildlife at sunset on the bench provided. The garden is also a haven for wildlife and has a lot of interesting trees. He provided us with the best Sri Lankan breakfast we have had in a month. It was outstanding, with some of it made by his wife. Him and his staff member were very kind to help us change the wheel on our tuktuk, too. A wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a halfway point between Kandy and Negombo

A wonderful and comfortable hotel in a stunningly beautiful place on the lake. A spacious room with a balcony overlooking the lake and the sunrise. Delicious food and a pleasant stay. The hotel is located in a scenic location bordering a beautiful Paddy field. We were able to reach the place in 10 minutes from the Kurunegala Clock Tower. The tuktuk charged us two dollars for it. The staff welcomed us very warmly and prepared everything we needed. There is a restaurant serving Sri Lankan and Chinese food at affordable prices. They are very tasty. But a bit spicy. They charged us a very reasonable price for the bottle of wine we got at this restaurant, which had both local and foreign liquor. They also provided free laundry service, and they were kind enough not to charge us anything for morning tea. Although there are a few things that need to be improved, we are indebted to them for providing us with a fair and valuable accommodation for the money they charged us.

    It's nice to walk around the lake and to walk up to the...

    It's nice to walk around the lake and to walk up to the Buddha. There is not much else to do in the city. There are some cultural attractions within 30 km, but there is nowhere in the city to rent a scooter / bike, so you'd have to go with a tuk tuk or taxi.

    The property does not have proper bathroom and was soo dirty...

    The property does not have proper bathroom and was soo dirty. There was a small glass for bathroom window as anyone can enter through window. There were full of cockroaches and frogs inside the bathroom and I feeel really disappointed for choosing this. I informed to authorities of the property and the replied me very rudely and there said you are not our first guest by sending pics of other guests. That was the worst experience in my life I strongly tell others not to go there.😔😔

    The hotel was wonderfull.

    The hotel was wonderfull. There was great restaurant with dilicious foods. The rooms were very clean and comfortable bed with newly refurbished bathroom.Staff was very friendly and great.Well enough parking availble. Will reccomend this hotel for all persons who like to get a great experience 😊
