FranceThe owners of Lake and Library made our stay the absolute best of our holiday in Lithuania. We were welcomed very warmly plus the room and the whole hotel are designed with great taste. Speaking of taste, the breakfast on offer was excellent indeed. It was my birthday on our last day and the owners went above and beyond to make my birthday breakfast special. Also during our stay they organised our visit to the Nuclear Power Plant. As you can tell, the owners are very friendly and they do whatever they can to make your stay as memorable as possible. The location is also very ideal for biking or walking around the lakes and forests that surround Ignalina. Therefore I would wholeheartedly recommend you to stay here.

The views from the balcony was great and we came here in winter and got ourselves a perfect white Christmas :) breakfast was good and staff was super polite to us and our dog .

Visiting Visaginas in August is a must! It’s the best time to enjoy the beautiful summer weather and various outdoor & water activities. It’s also the busiest month filled with celebrations and entertainment events. Visaginas hosts Visagino Country Music Festival every year and it has been a total success this summer! The house has a beautiful view, it's nicely furnished and has everything you need inside. We loved the fact that it comes with it's own private beach and a bridge, that you can sit on and enjoy your morning coffee. The host was extremelly nice and hearing his excited voice made us even more excited about our stay. We also enjoyed the hot tub for an additional fee, which was a cherry on the cake. The only downside was the fact, that the boat is shared with a nearby house. We were looking forward to taking a boat for a ride, but our neighbours spent 90 % of the time fishing in the boat, and when they left, they left the boat full of water and it was unusable. Seeing the boat in the pictures was one of the main reasons why I specifically booked this place. So keep in mind, the boat is not guaranteed. It's a small town with a beautiful church in the center.
It's a small town with a beautiful church in the center. For those who like to move it is easy to get around Anykščiai by bike. A few of my favorite places which I recommend visiting are Puntukas stone and Laju treetop walking path. Molėtai in English. Worth visiting places: local museum, sculpture park (~19 sculptures), walking road around lakes. Eating: "Senoji užeiga", then maybe "Zodiakas plius". For coffee - "Slibino slėptuvė" (Dragon's hideout) and "Vanilinis dangus". Pizzeria "At Donatelo's" - kind of "so-so", looks like they not always accept credit cards.
