First of all, Luxembourg city is a complete love from the first site! And this hotel in the very heart of walking tourists area in old city part - was the best decision of whole trip. The interior of the hotel is absolutely stunning, you would enjoy both interesting views in the bars and restaurants and in the rooms as well. Though the hotel itself is relatively small, and you should get through corridors and minimalistic halls to different parts of the hotel, it is still very cozy and sweet. As it was my birthday, my husband ordered a romantic greeting for our room with flowers, champagne and candles. It was lovely :) I would like to separately thank the front office manager Mr. Thibault who was super friendly and welcoming, taking care of our short stay in all respects. I would love to come back again, and I definitely choose this hotel for our next trip. With warmest regards, Ekaterina Tsabria

    I recently stayed at Hotel Bristol in Gare, Luxembourg, for six nights, and my experience was exceptional. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, making it easy to explore the city. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. Despite being in a busy area, the hotel was quiet, allowing for a restful night’s sleep. The breakfast offered a good variety of options and was a great start to the day. I highly recommend Hotel Bristol for anyone visiting Luxembourg. It offers great value for money and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely return on my next trip to the city.

    The hotel was very clean and our room had been recently renovated. We had a room overlooking the forest. The shower was very clean with beautiful tiles and there was plenty of hot water. The staff were so friendly and very helpful especially when we missed our bus to the airport. A shuttle minibus was very quickly available and we made our flight. The veranda was a lovely place to sit in the evening for a meal and drinks.

    I love that you have free access to the pools and wellness for free for two days. I love Mondorf and the thermal baths.     Luxembourg has so much to offer.

    Luxembourg has so much to offer. Take advantage of the free transportation. You may have to rent a car to get to more remote locations; like Vianden Castle or Mullerthal. The history of the country is amazing and the shopping and food are great. We spent a week and barely touched the surface.

    Echternach, if not the entire t of Luxembourg, is an underrated gem. Being English we barely heard a single country person and you are really missing out! If you love the outdoors I couldn't think of a better place to come. Public transport is entirely free and very easy to navigate with the brilliant app mobiliteit.lu. We went on trains, buses and trams entirely free the whole time. It is very easy to set off from Echternach on a bus then walk all the way back, or just do a loop then return back to base. The Mullerthal trail app again is really helpful to find out what walks are in each area - app.mullerthal.lu. But you could just walk directly from Echternach and our youth hostel. The Hostel was set on the lake. There was a climbing wall, bike hire, walks and swimming lakeside. A huge adventure playground with toilets, a Roman villa, a great restaurant - all within minutes. Two supermarkets, one close to the lake and the other in the town gave plentiful options for food. The town is very attractive and has a long pedestrian street with outstanding restaurants (if you love Sushi go to Wangs, it was out of this world). It's a simple hour trip from Luxembourg city so could be done in a day but that wouldn't do it justice. You could also get to Trier in Germany (amazing city!) in about 45 minutes if a city trip was your thing. You should go!

    I was here for business and the Ibis I stayed in was doing what it needed, I slept decently. I saw very little of the town, so I cannot recommend this. I went to the Agile Tour Luxembourg which I definitely CAN recommend :)

    I wasnt there long, an overnight stop with a morning walk into the town. The petrol prices were pretty reasonable and there was a decent supermaket and mini mall at the bottom of the town. If staying for a short break I would probably get a hotel in Luxembourg City, as although all transport in the country is free its stops at 2300. Also to be fair I was there on a Monday night so maybe its a bit livelier at weekends?

    Berdorf is my favorite go-to location if I wanna go on a hiking weekend. It's about a three hour drive from where I live, so very doable for a weekendtrip. The entire Echternach region in beautiful (check out the Mullerthal Trail), but the region around Berdorf is especially beautiful. The forests around Berdorf all have those typical rock formations with stairs and ladders, little chasms etc that really make it so much more interesting than a normal forest hike. The town itself is very small and is really just meant to spend the night in between two days of heavy hiking.

    The hotel was clean and breakfast was good but on a downside our room on the third floor was so so hot - there was a fan but it was just too hot and we didn't have a great sleep due to the temperature in the room. It was great that they took dogs though.

    Mondorf-les-Bains is a charming town with over 5,000 inhabitants located near the Luxembourg Moselle River. Home to the only casino and the only spa and fitness center in the Grand Duchy, it benefits from all the advantages of a big city: -Everything close to home, -Easily accessible by public transport, -Many leisure and recreational opportunities, -Fascinating architecture and cultural heritage, -Many shops, A wide selection of hotels and restaurants. In short, an ideal place to relax and recharge every day.

    It's a wonderful place.

    It's a wonderful place. Luxembourg City itself can be explored in a day or two, so if you're planning a longer stay, be sure to rent a car and explore the rest of this magnificent country. Luxembourg City is beautiful, clean, and safe. It's worth walking around the impressive fortifications, seeing the cathedral, the ducal palace (open in summer), and the beautiful townhouses. If you have more time, you can visit the museums: I especially recommend the Municipal Museum and Fort Thüngen. An unforgettable experience!

    The city had really good bus service.

    The city had really good bus service. However, getting there and back to the airport in Luxembourg (Findel) is far too difficult. This may be a result of the massive construction in and around Luxembourg's train stations. What should have been an easy trip back and forth did not happen.
