The room was very neat, aesthetically pleasing and clean. There were plants on the windowsill and a nice view from the windows. I really liked the comforters on the beds and the community kitchen was great!

It was a great stay. Nice and peaceful environment, deers running, a lot of greenery all around. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Staff were acting as if you were staying in an old style manor. Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. Rustic food from local area.

A small, but charming town.
A small, but charming town. Perfect to stay if you plan to go to Liepāja and Kuldīga, because it is approximately in the middle. The best option, if you come from Riga, is to rent a car and come to Aizpute by car, because the objects and other towns around are also worth seeing.
I suggest Giardino di Napoli for some tasty pizzas and Aizpute winery for some tasty wines.
In Aizpute, you can reach just about anywhere by feet. One day is enough to see this town.
