- From US$913.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 803 reviewsIts a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere :) There is not much around the property but it has everything inside what you could need. Most of the Villas are beach front. Everything is clean. Staff are very friendly. Food selection is amazing. From arabic to asian. You can leave your kids in a kids club and spend some time in the adults only areas. They have a small shop inside so you can buy some equipment you might need in the ocean or some souveniers. Once in a week they have a beach concert. Every evening live music at the restaurants. Have shuttle or taxi service. Water in the pool perfect temperature and has almost none chemicals in it. You can have dinner even at you terrace. They bring everything from the main menu. Sunsets are beautiful and if you want great insta photos its the right place.Guest review byRolandasLithuania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,207 reviewsThis resort is simply marvellous: beautifully located right on a magnificent beach right next to the coral reef (just step into the water for excellent snorkeling right away). The main swimming pool and also the more private secondary one are beautiful. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming: from check-in in a private environment to check-out with a very punctual taxi to the airport. The maid who tidied up the room, even remembering our names and the towel service assistant was very kind too. The boutique inside the resort is also nice and the restaurants good service inside the structure. We thank you for the unforgettable stay you have given us. Until next time!Guest review bysaxl77Italy
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 103 reviewsAlthough we had some teething issues, the team at Heritage Villas especially Mr Dhanraj went out of the way to make our holiday special and memorable! Things would be available at a click of a WhatsApp message. Despite such a huge property (6200 acres is too huge), they gave us great service. Spa was excellent. Also the facilities here are excellent. A must visit with kids!Guest review byKetanIndia

Nothing was lacking
Nothing was lacking The 2nd floor villa with a balcony view to the garden and sea was private with a superb vista it had a very well stocked kitchen with excellent cooking facilities. Every attention to detail had been given with pottery and art it was aesthetically pleasing. provisions were easy to get and at short distance to obtain. what wasn’t evident from its description was its peace and privacy which for us gave the restorative and restful holiday we required.Guest review byAnnaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We stayed for a day at the Shandri Beachcomber (bought a day pass) and the snorkeling from their beach was fantastic . Absolute amazing location but I wouldn't stay overnight there. Way too exensive for a dated resort and we weren't impressed by the quality of food and drink (it is an all inclusive resort) but you can't beat the location.Guest review byMariaAustralia - 10.0

Excellent location in an area that boasts greenery and nature at its best. Tamassa Bel Ombre is located next to two golf courses, a natural reserve and barely minutes away from other landmarks in Mauritius (south). Roads are safe - so it's easy to drive around but if you are after a complete relaxing holiday, venturing out of Tamassa is purely an extra then. The resort is fully equipped and offers a great opportunity for swimming, snorkeling, para-kiting in a well protected and clean bay.Guest review bySaidMalta - 8.0

The town offers a more authentically local atmosphere than beach resorts, although admittedly there is no beach on this part of the Mauritian coast, so the area attracts a different kind of traveller. It is a rather run-down place but has considerable charm. The waterfront is a lovely (if windy) area to stroll around and the town has some interesting historical attractions - also a few kilometres away, in Vieux Grand Port, the site of the first landing on the island (by the Dutch, in 1598). One matter to be aware of concerns going out for dinner in the town. There are plenty of restaurants in the central area, many of them very welcoming and with very good food, however: - the streets are very poorly lit after dark, resulting in considerable stretches where a torch/phone light is useful; - most streets have no pavements, or very uneven/poor quality pavements where they do exist, so you have to walk in the road - watch your step and beware traffic that rushes past, often very suddenly (however, the local drivers are good at swerving to avoid pedestrians)! - unnervingly, there are large numbers of dogs roaming around on the streets - this seems to be the case all over Mauritius, even in the capital, albeit to a lesser extent. By day they are very placid and tend to shy away from people, but after dark they are often uncomfortably territorial and can be aggressive.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I came in with some reservation due to the wind that was considered to be a problem by other visitors. Some others were ranking the West coast over the East Coast (we were on the East Coast) but after visiting the entire island, we were very happy about our choice.Guest review byAlbrUnited States - 10.0

No ATM to draw cash.. most shops only deal with cash. Blue bay has a bus stop that takes 15 minutes to get to Mahebourg from where you can take a bus to any part off the Island. The Blue Bay Beach has absolutely clear and still water making it a wonderful experience just to laze in the WaterGuest review byVijendraSouth Africa - 10.0

I stayed here with my 3 kids, the kids club looked great although we didn't use it. We stayed for 3 nights and that was enough for us to break the city routine of our everyday life. Krishna from the concierge organised a fun day out to Chamarelle where we saw the 7 sand earth, giant turtles and the magnificent waterfall. We ended the day at Curious Corner which the kids (and I loved).Guest review byMonaUnited Arab Emirates
