- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 404 reviewsOur stay at this lodge was nothing short of a fairy tale come to life. We had an absolutely enchanting experience here during our honeymoon! Nestled amidst lush greenery, it was the perfect romantic retreat. Waking up to the gentle symphony of birdsong every morning added a touch of magic to our stay. The villas were beyond excellent – spacious, elegantly designed, and with all the amenities one could wish for. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like family, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. After a disappointing experience at another accommodation in the north, we decided to return to this lodge for a few additional nights. And we're so glad we did! The staff welcomed us back with open arms and even upgraded us to another villa at the same price as our initial one. Their generosity and commitment to guest satisfaction truly set them apart. We also want to give a special shoutout to Allen, the cab driver recommended by the lodge. His insights and recommendations transformed each trip around the island into a personalized adventure. His knowledge of the area and friendly demeanor made us feel like we were exploring with a trusted friend rather than just a driver. You can reach him out at Emt: 57331114 or Orange: 57588868. Overall, our time at this lodge exceeded all expectations. We couldn't have asked for a more idyllic setting or attentive service. It's a place we'll always hold dear in our hearts and eagerly recommend to anyone seeking a truly unforgettable getaway.Guest review byCorneliaRomania
- From US$778.95 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 618 reviewsWe were staying at the hotel 2 nights. If we knew that we love it that much, we would choose to stay longer. From the check in moment you feel you are more than welcome here. All the staff members truly think of every detail you may need. We had breakfasts and dinners, which were so perfect, made of fresh products and served very nice. We have read some comments, that there are limited options of food, but this is boutique hotel with unique attitude, there only 11 chalets, and they can't offer buffet with unlimited products, which they will tbrow away later, it's wasteful. So it's more personal when you get what you want from the menu. And how cool is that option that your bed is made for you every evening? :) Oh, forgot to mention that chalet has the same entrance as the Chamarel park, so you enter it for free, just say that you are going to chalet (except sands, they are not included). But! Every time we entered the park we went to see waterfall :) Views are more than stunning, we have never seen more beautiful views than here. Thank you all for making our stay at Chalet unforgetible. Greetings from Latvia.Guest review byOksanaLatvia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 457 reviewsOur family of 4 had a wonderful stay at La Vielle Cheminée. The farm is absolutely beautiful and the view from the swimming pool area is breathtaking. The farm has many different animals but the horses were the highlight of this stay for our children. We stayed at Le Maison du Potager, the lodge was beautifully decorated but most importantly was very spacious and comfortable. The lodge was cleaned daily and the delicious breakfast served every morning at the balcony. The staff was very welcoming , helpful and accomodating of any requests you might have . The location is excellent to explore all the beautiful places at Chamarel. Our only regret was not having the time to explore the farm further. Maybe next time:)Guest review byJoaoPortugal
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 657 reviewsFrom the moment we arrived, Paradis Beachcomber exceeded every expectation. We were warmly welcomed with a complimentary room upgrade, an incredible gesture that set the tone for the rest of our stay. The room was immaculate, beautifully appointed, and offered breathtaking views. Every detail, from the décor to the amenities in the room reflected thoughtful attention and care. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. And the breakfast? Simply phenomenal, fresh, varied, and served with an ocean breeze. A truly exceptional experience from start to finish.Guest review bySharmilaSouth Africa
- From US$1,065.93 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 490 reviewsThe staff were exceptional and so welcoming, as other reviewers have said it is the staff that make the hotel memorable. They go above and beyond to ensure each guest is happy. The sea view is also absolutely stunning and we definitely recommend having both breakfast and dinner there. We also loved how the hotel felt cosy and it was easy to get around. Some people have said that the rooms are a bit dated- this may be the case compared with other luxury hotels however the sand suites rooms are clean and well maintained, and I would say that the design fits the island vibe nicely.Guest review bySophiaUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.1Good - What previous guests thought, 306 reviewsThe staff was simply amazing. We had previously booked at a different place nearby and we was extremely disappointed. Our taxi driver told us about Aanari and they were kind enough to accommodate us at the very last moment and made us feel so comfortable. A great guy, Nathan who is an employee at Aanari Hotel was kind enough to navigate us through the country! Bonus points just because Flic en Flac Beach is just opposite the road with many food outlets and ATM's plus the bar at night is such a vibe.Guest review byPillaySouth Africa

It was breathtaking. It is definitely on a little expensive side but every penny was worth it. Absolutely loved my stay here. The staffs were very friendly. We had dinner here and loved the food. The dining experience was beyond expectations. The staffs made sure to give each and every guest a premium luxury experience and they did it so very well.Guest review bysrivastavaIndia

The views were beautiful with a cozy garden and location at the beach. The staff were extremely friendly and service-minded. Breakfast was rich and tasty, and dinner was also very good, offering a variety that was served right by the beach. We would definitely come back and recommend it to friends and family.Guest review byTuvaSwitzerland

Walking on the beach was fun, and the water allowed easy swimming even for the not-so-strong swimmer. The food carts added restaurant variety. We had good meals at Bouganvillea and Chez Pepe, but also enjoyed eating in and watching the sunset. Lovely shopping, interesting people, and the public bus service worked for us. However, it was interesting that the same trip was free outbound and then cost 100 rupees (3 people) for the return trip (with no tickets issued).Guest review byDivyaSouth Africa - 10.0

Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is impressive, in the public beach you have to possibility to see the see turtles. The place is a piece of paradise. Definitely worth to go and to spend some time there. I would recommend an hotel next to the le Morne beach most of the hotel do not have the possibility to eat or rent the sun bed just daily. Also I would recommend the experience of swimming with the dolphins that is offered almost everywhere.Guest review byAnnaItaly - 8.0

We liked the area close to the Riviere Noire Reserve and it was convenient for the quieter beaches on the south coast. We recommend a guided tour of the Ebony Forest Reserve. We had a fascinating day out with a very knowledgeable guide and saw a lot of birdlife; the views out to sea are also stunning. Be warned: driving in Mauritius is not easy, even with satnav! We got lost several times, especially around Port Louis. If you choose to go to Port Louis, we recommend using the local bus. There is a bus stop two minutes' walk from the apartment (shortly before London Way supermarket). You can pick up a bus at about 7.30 am and return on a 119 bus at 30 minutes past the hour from Immigration Square near the waterfront of Port Louis. If you want to eat out, the Happy Rajah restaurant on the main road serves good value Indian food. The fish thali is particularly tasty.Guest review byVirginiaItaly - 10.0

It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more fabricated hotel resorts. Lots of locals who know one another and it feels safe, if a little rough around the edges. It has its own cultural and geographical charm that seems to differentiate it from other parts of Mauritius. Lots of places to eat, a good supermarket - seems expensive for the area, but I think this is quite common. Good offers of boat hire to get over to Ile aux Benitiers, which is well worth it. Close proximity to the lovely Morne peninsular and Black River Gorges National Park and surrounds.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Sure La Preneuse is the nearest beach, though If you're looking for the best beaches around, take that trip to Le Morne beach, it's worth it. We went to the only Thai restaurant in the area,'Ousaporn', indeed an oasis in that small town, great Deco, felt right, the staffs were admirable, the food was succulent but portion were quite small disproportionately over-priced . A day at the beach at Flic en flac is worth the tour, watch the sun set into the deep sea, then hit one of the restaurant around the area.Guest review byYogeshSpain - 10.0

this is amazing place, the view is breathtaking, the chalet is spacious, very calm, the food is satisfying and the staff is very supportive and helping. it is ideal for a short stay as if you would like to do more tours the location is bit far from everything and very challenging to reach. the best is to stay there and visit the nearby places around Chamarel.Guest review byDragicaUnited Arab Emirates - 8.0

Albion is a Mauritian village , located on the West Coast off the beaten track & away from the tourist holiday hot spots. There is a local palm shaded beach with toilets & changing facilities, to enjoy safe swimming & magnificent sunsets. Food & other supplies are available at the local Albion Mall Dodo Supermarket Living with the local Mauritians enhanced our holiday experience as we got the know some of these friendly and gentle people. You will need a hire car and Google Maps to get aroundGuest review byPeterSouth Africa - 10.0

Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.Guest review byAndrijaCroatia - 2.0
Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel.
Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel. Financial exploitation defines the taxi drivers. Financial exploitation dominates the boat rental services. Financial exploitation extends even to the zoo. Exploitation is the main theme, and as a city, it offers nothing enjoyable.Guest review byMohamed Zaher - 10.0
