Staff are very professional special thanks to Manager who know more than deserves his job due to great experience Mr. Paul, I would also like thank head chef Alagiyawanna for the great food and service provided during our stay. Other staff I can’t thank enough are Tuan and I think his name was Fazal/Fizal? Also thanks to Irufaan for great service beyond what’s expected. Not least the housekeeping staff. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their warm hospitality, knowledge, and outstanding customer service that went above and beyond our expectations. The facilities were spotless, and our room was well-equipped with thoughtful amenities, including a smart TV, a kettle with tea and coffee, and a small fridge. Dining at the hotel’s restaurant was a delight—the food was delicious, and the menu offered a wide variety of options. The staff even arranged a romantic beach dinner for us, which was absolutely unforgettable! The daily breakfast was out of this world, featuring both healthy, locally inspired dishes and classic options like toast, cereal, and fresh dairy products. The hotel is a beachfront with a spectacular view! The name of the villa speaks for itself because the sun sets in front of the villa. The food is very delicious! Breakfast is at 7-8am for $10 Lunch is at 12pm-1pm for $12 Dinner is at 6pm-7pm for $15 You have to pre-order if you want to avail because they will only prepare a set of menu. The only downside is that whatever they prepare, you have no other option. But we liked everything they cooked! It comes with a side dish, dessert, main dish, juice, and snack. At first, we were looking for other cheaper options outside, but Sunset Villa is the best option. With other restaurants, you'll have to buy everything, even water. In Sunset Villa, it's already a set meal. Other tourists who booked hotel with others even order meals from Sunset Villa. The housekeeper cleans and replenishes the toiletries without even requesting. They do it when you go out for activities. No need to worry about your valuables because they have vault. Most importantly, ALL the staff are very accommodating. Always wearing a smile. They are quiet and very friendly. P.s. You can make unlimited coffee 😉

    First of all I would like to appreciate all the staff of kaani for their hospitality. Top notch. We stayed at kaani Beach hotel 103.108.109 from 15 to 18th. What a service. Start with the Mr Tiger, from male, incharge of the hotel. But he was everywhere from the receiving of the guest till we get dropped to the boat he was absolutely on every service we needed. God bless you my friend. The receptionist Suman from Nepal, absolutely amazing lady helped us through all the process to the booking and all the things we needed. Restaurent stuff, Aditya from nepal what an amazing personality and hospitality. Along with his team jowel, rony, anisur from Bangladesh. Provided us with the best private beach dinning experience we have ever experienced. The island tour guides' boat mans were amazing through out the trips. Thanks kaani team.     I only stayed overnight in Male and, in general, it was enough. Simply passing though to get my flight home. As expected the city is noisy, busy and hectic. Wow the contrast from the laid-back, easygoing atol where I was based for the holiday. However, I still quite enjoyed it. The guy from the diving company arranged a tour guide for me whose policy was that I pay him what I thought his time was worth. I got to experience the traffic from a scooter (quite scary to begin with) was taken to the market and given lots of free samples of local foods to try and had visits to all the important sites in three brilliant hours. He also introduced me to a wonderful restaurant - The Seagull Cafe- where I visited another twice before leaving the food and the coffee were so good.

    One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.

    Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

    Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

    I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and...

    I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

    The people that work there in the island are very genuine...

    The people that work there in the island are very genuine and polite and helpful, always smiling. They make your time there very pleasant. Don’t forget to tip them. Jr and Anastasia from the club house coordinators are amazing and multi talented individuals. Don’t miss their daily sport activities by the pool.

    I absolutely would return!

    I absolutely would return! After the fact I was told this was a Russian resort but we interacted with a variety of guests during our visit. Our neighbors were guests 20 years ago and returned with two children. They were having an absolute ball. I loved the swim up bar at the pool - and the fact it was at the opposite end (along with a divider) from the children's area. Super attentive and friendly staff, great meals, I didn't tire of the options at the buffet. The a la carte restaurant was lovely too. We did the all inclusive and it was definitely worth it. Great chill vibe and overall a fun place to relax and play.

    We LOVED Dhiffushi!

    We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

    An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

    The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life.

    The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.
