The sea-view rooms were stunning, the rooftop pool was a great place to unwind, and the spa treatments added a refreshing touch of relaxation to our trip.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Thode, who manages the entire property with genuine care and professionalism. His attention to detail and guest satisfaction was evident throughout our stay and set a truly welcoming tone for the entire experience.
What truly stood out were the excursion tours and water sports arranged by the hotel. We went on several well-organized trips, including snorkeling adventures where we swam alongside sea turtles, colorful reef fish, and even reef sharks. The underwater visibility was amazing, and the guides were knowledgeable and attentive to safety.
We also enjoyed kayaking over the calm, turquoise waters – a peaceful and scenic activity that let us explore the lagoon at our own pace. On the more adventurous side, we tried jet skiing, parasailing, and an exciting fun tube ride – all of which were handled by a friendly and professional team using high-quality equipment.
A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful reception staff who were always welcoming and ready to assist. Special appreciation to Iqbal and Asif, the restaurant waiters, for their attentive service and warm hospitality that made each meal feel special. And a big thank you to Head Chef Noor Muhammad, whose delicious and beautifully prepared meals truly elevated our dining experience.

I am a loyal customer of the location because I have always found: clean, renovated rooms, with super cleaning service twice a day; very good services at the pool/main bar/chill bar; rich and consistent breakfast; multiple dinner options (5) with an extra for sand and teppanyaki....very attentive staff!! We were in over-water villa. It was amazing. Food in restaurants was delicious. Wine was very good. Schnorcheling was wonderful. Beaches was clean. We had very good massages. Morning yoga woke up us. Fitness is well equipped.

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are...
Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced.
One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

There are a number of Hotels with restaurants with menu options slightly different from Ayala ... all within walking distance. The beach (Bikini beach) is beautiful, ALWAYS clean and even when the wind is blowing strongly from the Western side there is hardly any wind on the beach

Guraidhoo - ferry every day and easy to reach from Male, not so busy yet, not yet ugly concrete big buildings, bikini beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. White soft sand with turquoise warm water and sandy shore for fantastic swimming and walking on the sandbar - great for kids too, sunbeds and good cafe on the beach, there are corals and ship wreck for snorkeling and not to forget the shark feeding place - simply amazing to watch sharks and rays - great entertainment for the evening. There are great restaurants with fantastic prices. This island is amazing choice !

Please ensure you book inclusive package as food and drink outside of the package will be expensive. Take mosquito repellents and your own shower gel, shampoos and conditioners.
This is because the provision of shower items is not good at all. (They might as well say, shower items not provided).

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at South Male Atoll / SUN SIYAM OLHUVELI! It take 45 mins from MALE airport to the island by speedboat. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The level of service provided was impeccable, and every team member I encountered was professional, friendly, and attentive to details.

It is a really peaceful island with a really nice beach. Beach has almost that resort level quality to it. Island is small, so besides water activities or some excursions, there is not much to do, so for some travelers it might get boring.

Biyadhoo is a perfect place for people who want an amazing...
Biyadhoo is a perfect place for people who want an amazing Maldives experience at an affordable rate. The food was incredible. We gained so much weight in just 4 days.
There was white sand, clean sea chairs to relax on, wildlife, and incredible staff.
We also went for a beginners scuba diving experience and the instructor Rosa was beyond kind, patient, and wonderful. We had the best experience ever.
