I had a great full body massage on the beach with the hotel.
I had a great full body massage on the beach with the hotel. They had an offer ... it was worth every penny with the sound of the beach as a background noise. Just perfect!! I stayed at the hotel for all meals - nice and diverse options. Was not fan of anything that was served at the snack bar though.Guest review byNADIAUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. I liked that the rooms were cleaned twice a day. The food was very good. Only lacking was night activities and they need to play American and Caribbean music in the club.Guest review byFay - 8.0

There are numerous sites to see in Merida, so book a stay that allows enough time to go on a few tours. I enjoyed the horse and carriage ride in the night - have a translator if your Spanish isn't good.Guest review byIfasinaBelize - 2.0

As a family with tweens we did not enjoy Tulum & will not be back. The kids were not allowed many places/ restaurants. Algea covered the beach (it was july), the restaurants were priced higher than where we live but the quality of the food was poor. If you are a family I would skip and go elsewhere. The cenotes in the reason are awesome!Guest review byCaralynUnited States - 10.0

It’s a tiny town, best to get around with a car but taxis are available too. It has a proper Caribbean vibe and the lagoon is just fantastic - really clean, warm and sweet water. We also enjoyed the food at La Playita restaurant.Guest review byKlaudiaPoland - 8.0
The downtown area is full of good restaurants with excellent...
The downtown area is full of good restaurants with excellent Yucatecan food with reasonable prices, and service. The main Cenote and local food market is easily walkable from the main square. Walking is the best mode of transportation as everything is close by. The locals are welcoming and kind with a spirit of community and acceptance to outsiders. If you are fortunate enough to rent a place with a kitchen there is a grocery store on 39th street with everything you need to make a meal. They have a Turi bus that will pick you up at the main plaza for a fee and will take you around all the important parts of the city. The ADO Bus station is close by and can be used for trips to close by towns. They also have a "Vay y Ven" bus system for short trips around town. Valladolid is a quaint Spanish colonial style town with colonial architecture buildings mostly painted in pastel colors.Guest review byChuck and GailUnited States - 2.0
Small town with terrible infrastructure.
Small town with terrible infrastructure. It is a shame to keep it in misery conditions with the loads of money brought by tourists, mostly foreigners happily walking in mud, dirty water ponds, as they walk in the luxurious boutiques owned by other foreigners. You may find amazing nature in many other Mexican destinations in better living conditions.Guest review byalejandrortizMexico - 8.0
I have been visiting Cozumel for 15 years, for diving.
I have been visiting Cozumel for 15 years, for diving. While the people are friendly and the number of good restaurants has increased over that time, unfortunately the reef has been degraded effecting the diving experience. Its is my contention the powers that control Cozumel care more about making money from cruise ships than the environment, local people or infrastructure of Cozumel.Guest review byRobertaCanada - 10.0

In the 1990s, Isla was less-developed with fewer beach hotels. The entire north end was one large beach with unpaved streets, rather primitive and exotic, and the experience was low cost. Over the years the beach has lost a lot of sand due to some severe hurricanes and sand-bag berms have been built out to prevent more erosion. The streets were paved with block pavers and the addition of hotels has brought more tourists. These changes are probably inevitable considering the growth direction of tourism and its economic importance, but it's been more or less as it is now for the last 20 years in which we've visited many times. Compared to Playa Del Carmen which has changed dramatically, and Tulum which now has an international airport, it's kept its essential character by being isolated from the rest of the coast, and is still a great place to unwind, snorkel, and stroll the streets, beaches and rocky north coast. There is a singular charm about the island and it's residents and labor force that ferry over from Cancun, that keeps us coming back and I hope that never changes. The restaurants, to their credit, have improved over the years and that is a pleasant advancement.Guest review byGaryUnited States - 10.0

Very nice beach town which escaped from the big resorts and party places along the Riviera Maya. It has some nice places to eat and drink, so everything you need to find rest and peace with an amazing view and feel of the coastline near CancunGuest review byWouterBelgium
