I had to ask for directions, and eventually, everything was explained to me. There was a miscommunication in booking; the room I was assigned was not the one I had reserved. After discussing with the manager, I was transferred to a suite. Despite being advertised as all-inclusive, there was only one restaurant open at a time. Although I was informed there were four, only one was operational. Consequently, we were stuck with buffet meals for three days, with one day offering a different experience where someone took our orders. Nevertheless, all the staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the drinks were excellent. The property was very clean. The food and drinks at the beach bar were also great, with another set of excellent staff. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. A wonderful city, just like all resort towns. It is located in a bay, so you get a view of the city from almost any point. The streets are filled with souvenir shops and places where you can taste tequila. The waterfront is well-maintained, with a beautiful pedestrian area that’s perfect for a walk. Loved the views and the amenities. The beach was beautiful and clean. Perfect for small children and all ages. The villa came with everything you could want. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The chef was exceptional. She even went grocery shopping for us. This made travelling in a group of 10 much easier. Getting around Crux de Huanacaxtle is not easy from Real del Mar. We went with family so we had a good experience But don’t go in August it’s too hot and humid and lots of storms . The power went out twice. The mosquitos ate us alive . The food was ok . This area is a mix of mexico, not too touristy yet within walking distance to open market. Plenty of areas to walk, enjoy the sun and beach. This was a great opportunity to meet locals and enjoy their culture. Very good restaurants in the area, some with nightly music. Art walk every Thursday. I went for a medical reason, not for vacation. After going I personally wouldn’t choose puerto Vallarta for vacation unless you stay in hotel Moussai or Garza Blanca or anywhere near that area because those beaches are blue. I stayed at Playa Royale which are apartments right next to the hard rock hotel and when I tell you that beach is murky. It’s like going to Galveston beach. So I do not recommend at all. If you want nice beaches in Mexico, I’d do Cancun or Cabo’s. Convenient markets, friendly people, great tattoo parlour (Endless Ink). I used Uber to get around, which was economical and reliable. We have been coming to Bucerias for many years. We feel at home in Bucerias. There is plenty to do and lots to see. The town is friendly and safe and there are plenty of eateries. The Red Apple Place is one of our favourites and Ricardo makes a delicious Margarita! It's very easy to get around on the bus and bus fare is very cheap. Bucerias has grown and changed over the years, but it's still our favourite place to stay. The sunsets are amazing and the beach is sandy and beautiful.Guest review byJacquelineCanada
