Extremely hospitable and friendly host. She helped us with our laundry, gave restaurant tips, asked one of her employees to chop our braai wood into smaller pieces when we asked and even gave us some home-made soup to take with us when we checked out. There's a small shop with local products, breakfast was excellent and the room was spacious and very tidy. About a 10-minute walk from the city centre but it's safe. Highly recommended!

    What a spectacular setting. We had a bungalow facing the sea, view was superb. Every comfort and facility provided. Breakfast in a very well appointed central bungalow was delicious with freshly cooked pancakes a real treat. We needed to leave early and the staff came early to provide us with a full breakfast. No restaurant but plenty nearby, we had a delightful meal at a local restaurant within walking distance.

    Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance.

    Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. I visited Swakopmund 20 years ago and the only issue I found worrysome this time around was the many hustlers trying to force their offerings for sale. The jetty also needs some urgent maintenance.

    the museum which was recommended by the hotel was really worth a visit we spent a whole morning there and learnt so much about Namibia and its people as well as Swakopmund. the walk along the pier though very windy was worth the experience.

    The crystal museum is a must see.

    The crystal museum is a must see. Stadtmitte Cafe serves exceptional food (well worth the wait). The manageress at the Mermaid Casino was extremely rude, impolite and disrespectful when we attempted to leave the premises with a can of Coca Cola that we had purchased within the premises much to the embarrassment of the security personnel who apologised profusely to us on our departure.
