- From US$209.20 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,878 reviewsMy parents have spent 3 unforgettable days in the Beachhouse hotel. These 3 days were about replenishment and rejuvenation. Time in Beachhouse hotel would definitely be part of their ideal holidays, at Zandvoort, directly on the beach, of absolute gorgeousness. My parents could already feel the air working its magic, with the sea breeze drifting over them. Beachhouse Hotel is an Excellent hotel!!! Everything is clean, comfortable, tastefully done, with love and attention to the guests. Nice design, new furniture, snow-white linens. My parents were vacationing in January, so the room was warm and cozy. The staff is polite and friendly, quickly answered all questions until the settlement. There were no complaints about cleaning. Since the hotel does not have a restaurant, the staff made up for this lack by having a delicious breakfast, where there was always fresh bread, red fish, honey and other goodies. My parents were pleasantly surprised that during the day they could enjoy fresh tea and sweet foods for free, which made it possible to sit in the hall and enjoy the seascape. When it was raining, the room had the opportunity to turn on Netflix, under your password, and watch some interesting movie. And, the feature of Beachhouse Hotel in Zandvoort, which can not be compared with other hotels, is the view of the ocean in front of your eyes 24/7, and the sound of the surf as a lullaby! Next time I will come to Beachhouse Hotel with my parents to celebrate their wedding anniversary!Guest review byGannaGermany
- From US$158.13 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 3,200 reviewsThe location is perfect; the beach and promenade are immediately adjacent to the hotel, while a tram stop allows you to travel straight into the centre of The Hague in about 10 minutes. The room was spacious and well furnished. The inclusion of an iron as standard was greatly appreciated! The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. I paid for the breakfast and was not disappointed; a wide assortment of cold and warm food and drinks. The inclusion of breakfast Prosecco was very much enjoyed!Guest review byOliverNetherlands

We visited outside the season and enjoyed that there wasn't any overcrowding. It was easy to walk into any of the bars, restaurants or cafes and get an available table. We were lucky with the weather and fully enjoyed the beach and the promenade and a quick trip by tram into Den Haag. The tram ride took all of 10 - 15 minutes, buying a ticket was straight forward and easy. Breakfast at Oceans Beach is a strong recommendation, they even catered for special dietry requests and couldn't have been more welcoming. Dinners at Sumo and Big Bell were very pleasant and tasty.Guest review byBeritNetherlands - 10.0
A lovely town on the Dutch coast.
A lovely town on the Dutch coast. Great for the beach, the dunes and access to Haarlem, Amsterdam and beyond, with regular buses and trains to both Lots of lovely places to eat (and what I believe to be the best chips in the world, at Fritures D’anvers) Wonderful ice cream at San Remo Cafe Mio Great for tapas Can’t comment much on the beach bars as we’ve not really used them A nice little selection of shops, you can get pretty much everything you need for your stay, right on the doorstep. 3 supermarkets all within a few mins’ walk of each other, plus lots of lovely smaller shops for groceries tooGuest review byLornaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I used to live 20 minute cycle ride from here so have been there many times. Very nice town, the promenade is a lovely walk or bike ride. Would encourage people to hire bikes and explore. There is a fantastic bike ride through the dunes very scenic. The beach is very big with restaurants dotted all along. A really nice place to visit.Guest review byGRSUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Lovely promenade walk. Great choice of restaurants in the square. Recommend the restaurant in the old prison. Perfect spot for a drink watching the sunset. Hire a e-bike and cycle to Domburg via the coast. Plenty of spots to stop atGuest review byjacquiUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Village of Renesse has not much to offer : a couple of little supermarkets, sport shops and mostly fast food restaurants. Only reason to go there, is the impressive beach, with great views on seals colonies on bright days, and lovely walks sheltered by the dunes on not so bright and windy daysGuest review byMichelFrance - 8.0

Many opportunities for eating out and close to the beach and nature. Relatively far from the other cities but not as far as De Cocksdorp: Den Burg or De Waal would be a better option if you want to be in a more central area, but everything is relatively close so it does not matter too much.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Egmond aan Zee is a charming little beach town in the Netherlands with all the shops and Restaurants you could wish for. As a family of four we liked to walk to the Dekamarkt for our daily breakfast and snacks at the beach. At night we would eat at restaurants, at the typically Dutch snackbar 'Bij Brigitte' or eat Kibbeling(fish) at the Coast. We rented bikes for the day to travel further out. The remains of a castle in Egmond aan de Hoef was very interesting for our preteens and the next coastal town over 'Bergen aan Zee' was lovely as well. We visted the Aquarium there which was facinating for the entire family. Venturing out by foot into the Duinen is recommended as well. We saw wild Horses, oxes and a gorgeous sunset. In the Smidstraat there was a little secondhand Shop full of antiques. So much so that it seemed more a Museum than a shop! Everybody seemed to be able to speak a little German and if not their amazing english skills were impressive! I hope you have a wonderful time in Egmond aan Zee.Guest review byEveAustria - 10.0

Family friendly village, with fabulous beaches and walks, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Everywhere we visited was high quality and good value for money and the Monday market was worth a visit.Guest review bySharonUnited Kingdom - 10.0
This is a wonderful place for a peaceful escape.
This is a wonderful place for a peaceful escape. It is in the middle of forest and pastures so it is very quiet. There are excellent walking trails nearby. The house is very clean and tastefully decorated with enough space to be very comfortable. Even in the cold of winter it was well heated. The kitchen is very well equipped with good quality items. The quirky coffee-maker is fascinating and makes excellent coffee. There is a very good collection of maps and guide books for the local area. Hanneke's welcome was fulsome and very friendly and informative. Checkout was efficient and friendly. There are several very good restaurants a short drive away, try Puur.Guest review byGlenUnited States - 10.0

Nes is a cosy, historical village, not cheap, but not very expensive either. It is the harbor village located almost in the middle of Ameland and therefore perfect for day trips to either direction. The restaurants are good quality, so is the ice-cream, the vegetables and everything else you can buy. There is a great supermarket called Jumbo on the main road from the ferry. If you want to go for hikes, nature with lots of birds, deer and wild rabbits are just a short walk away. The Amelanders love their horses, and they are everywhere.Guest review byMargrethe
