Hotel Oranjestaete is perfectly located, very close to the city center and all the main attractions. The staff is very kind and friendly, always available and ready to help with any requests. The apartment is quite spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well-equipped, with a microwave, kettle, coffee machine, and dishwasher. The bathroom is also excellent – spacious and comfortable. We’ll be happy to stay at Hotel Oranjestaete again on our next visit!

Loved this hotel. The reception area contained a lovely organic cafe, with sofas and an area with books and games. The rooms were spacious with a kitchenette, which was a bonus, if staying a few days. Good central location with parking and only a short walk to the thriving town centre. Helpful and friendly staff.

Already from the step number one was clear that it will be nice stay. Really welcoming staff providing also the tips where to go in the city, room was modern and clean, bed just like from the sleeping studio, really well shading curtains and room isolated from outside noises. During the breakfast time personnel constantly filled new plates with delicious variants. Every where in the hotel was nice smell and last not least, the location really worth it. Walking distance to the centrum 15 minutes and next to the hotel parking spot and main train station.

Super modern roomy air conditioned rooms. Very well equipped with all facilities, including coffee machine with plenty provided pods, minibar and mini kitchen. Everything brand new. Huge Super King bed with top quality mattress, bedding and pillows. Super helpful and friendly staff in the bar downstairs. Exceptional - very similar to “Malmaison” boutique hotels in UK. I love this city, it's my favourite place I have been to in...

I love this city, it's my favourite place I have been to in the Netherlands (so far). The city centre is very walkable, despite it not being flat (highly unusual in the Netherlands!). Plenty of cultural sights, and things to do. Easily accessible by train with great connections all over the country. You can easily spend a few hours, or even a whole day, at the river beach (Waalstrandje) when the weather is nice. There are a few shopping streets, personally I like the Lange Hezelstraat with its record shops, gift shops, and vintage clothing stores, or if you like the high street shops then the Broerstraat is the place to go. The Grote Markt and old town area is full of small streets with little shops, cafes, and bars. The Kronenburgerpark and Valkhofpark are pleasant places to sit and read a book or have a picnic.

Comfortable beds, Pleasant staff , Unsafe and difficult for older people: high stair to bedrooms - no lift, unsafe bathroom: ~ 30cmstep into and out of Bathroom, no hand supports by bath shower, crossing road to parking impossible for slow walkers in rush hour periods

We loved the little village!

We loved the little village! The graveyard, old churches and gorgeous individual houses... It felt like somewhere I could move into and live. The bus No 80 came regularly and dropped us in Central Station. There were restaurants either in the hotel itself or in the local Sous Les Eglises. One evening we were too late for dinner in either place so we had a lovely pizza and fries at the Snack bar. Nijmegen is a lovely city, but Beek is my favourite area.

A lovely, vibrant city, full of youth and optimism, with good selection of bars and restuarants. Some off the beaten track and some very traditional. It is a university city so always a young outlook in its shops, cafes, buildings and life.

For me it was worth visitting Nijmegen because I was going...

For me it was worth visitting Nijmegen because I was going to meet with friends there. However, I was impressed by the Vierdaagsefeest. It ended up being very fun and the city is quite nice and cozy. So yeah, I had an amazing time in Nijmegen, but maybe if you don't have acquaintances there it's not a must-visit city.
